Ok. Nevermind then. I guess we moved on with America nowadays which I see no point in trying to preserve the old America.

Not my fault Canada is first chapter in American history. And for what? What is Canada's purpose in even being in America if we can't gloat. We write the first chapter then from chapter 2 and onward we are never mentioned again. That sucks...

I personally thing the conqueror is laughing his head off with this. I hope he is.

I think the gist is that he is of the thinking that everyone in North America are Americans and that the name "American" should not be exclusive for the citizens of the United States. Combining that with a little bit of humor and sarcasm.

I agree with the part that us citizens shouldn't be calling themselves americans. That is why I call you guys yankees.

Yes. Bashing America is bashing Canada. We as Canadians in OUR America will not tollerate it. Also, it is disrespectfull to America as a whole. This has nothing at all to do with our neighbors. America is Canada's #1 responsibility and we must act as responsible Americans.

America as OUR own will be respected by all Canadians, and how we respect OUR America with OUR neighbors is how we will be respected.

Regards..
I get that you are referring to Canada as America. I hate that you are re-inforcing them calling themselves "America" like Canada is not a part of NORTH America and that the whole continent belongs to them. There are also Mexicans and Inuit along with Canadians that occup North America. So while we are all a part of North America, our land mass is much larger than theirs or anyone else's in North America. They are the United STATES of North America and we are the PROVINCES of Canada of North America. We are not Americans. You could say we are NORTH Americans and we call ourselves Canadians because we are not from the United States of North America. You sound like a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Actually we are quite similar to Americans, until a few years ago our hertitage was mainly English and French, and theirs was mainly English and Spanish, but more importantly we are both part of the human race and people are people. This incessant bickering over minor differences is small minded as is putting down Americans over trivial stuff like differences in Gov't or slight differences in the way we speak. Childish.

I have a slightly different POV; people east of the Rockies and Andes are foreigners. On this side we're cool. :D

"And Ontario voted for McSquinty twice, so what's the difference?"

Not to mention Canada voting for Jean Wretchien three times.
