I think if he commits a crime while wearing the uniform he should be charged!
He's committing a crime under the criminal code by just wearing the uniform.

Something tells me, he's starting to realize just how expensive that costume really is.
Yeah, we have a few stupid F**King laws!
Maybe in Canada. I was in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years, well before the 9/11 security paranoia, and I never once got onto a military base without showing my ID.We do, but not this one. With a uniform you can probably walk on to most military bases.

Contrary to popular belief, the U.S. is not one big military base.I used to toss my beret on the dashboard when crossing into the U.S. and it almost always resulted in a friendly welcome and interesting discussion. Now it's the Ice Trucker thing. The fascination with ice trucking is unreal.![]()

I think he should make a public apollogy. Eating crow publically now will probably end what is turning into a witchhunt.
And as mentioned earlier, witchhunts cost us our precious TAXPAYER DOLLARS so should be avoided.
Oh get over your precious tax dollars. The guy has a job, and a decent one so he is paying them too.

Sorry, juan, not meaning to be insulting, but you said "After a while you get to know people." Yes, that may be true, but how would that help someone falsely wearing a uniform? Gate security wouldn't have gotten to know him, and therefore would be checking his ID, no?Things change. Our military is a lot smaller than yours. Entry into a military base is usually controlled by military police. After a while you get to know people and while your I.D. was checked initially, after a while they got to know you and security was sometimes reduced to a wave. A person in civilian dress would usually be checked.
