When you have a whole bunch of people running (probably about a dozen all told) it's not rocket science that no candidate is going to get over 40% and very few will get over 30%. Maybe it's this "new" math that f**ks people up! :) :)

Mulroney got over 50% relatively recently.

It wasn't the time Kimmy Campbell got chucked out on her A$$ retaining two seats & I don't recall Mulroney running for anything since then. Maybe it was for president of the local Boy Scout troup.

THAT was over 20 years ago!

Headline from the “News/Canada” section of the Toronto Star:

Justin Trudeau hailed for his bhangra dancing skills

Justine is like Canada's Kardashians-- how fitting in our dumbed down society.

Yeah, I came to that realization after awhile. As I've always maintained there is "an exception to every rule"

I was living in Ottawa during that election. The day after, a local document shredding business put a full page ad in the Ottawa Citizen in one inch big letters with the cheeky:

LEAVING TOWN IN A HURRY?

It made my day, as I recall.

My mother, living in Tanzania at the time claimed that she paid a Ghanain witchdoctor to get rid of Trudeau (for fun, she said) and the next day, Pierre took his famous " walk in the snow" She claimed that she was responsible for the end of P.E.T.( just for fun ... I think).

Does anyone else notice the disconnect in language between PM Trudeau and just about every other Canadian leader?

Trudeau said the attacks were "worrying" and "unsettling" and then went on to blather about "rights and freedoms."

The GG condemned the heinous acts and atrocities.

Rona Ambrose used similarly strong language.

What's with Trudeau that he only finds "unsettling" a terror attack that kills 158+ and injures several hundred more?

At least his father had the ***** to take strong action and say "let the bleeding hearts bleed" when the FLQ kidnapped the British consul and a Quebec cabinet minister.

I suppose these events don't fit the narrative that Trudeau is trying to pedlle (viz his Defence Minister saying a few hours ago that Canadians had nothing to fear from ISIS.)

*thread made all sticky and such due to popularity...and it's not even an official one. ;-)

Who really gives a f**k about someone's initial comments on an event? If he said it was "earth shattering" and "catastrophic" would it change anything, other than just upsetting more people? This sh*t in Paris is typical of sh*t happening somewhere in the world every day.
