oh ya baby! It's definitely your, as you say, "sentence in question"... the cherry-picked out of complete context sentence! It's clear you choose to have a most self-serving and selective view of dealing with China... for you and your Harper guy, it's just "doing business"! And, remarkably, you're a freakin' amazing interpreter of the sequencing of the statements made... considering you didn't even know about them, you sure can put a spin on how the exchange went down, can't you? You can stuff your, "obtuse, stubborn, stupid and kiss my a$$" insults down your own pie-hole!

as I've said before, the China of today is not your China of 50+ years ago... you need to get your mind/perspective into today's modern world, hey! Just follow your own "Dear Leader's" path to an awakening China! Your boy Harper so admires the Chinese "dictatorship" that he just can't get enough of their trade/investment luvin'!

You really are that stupid.

Statement :"There is a level of admiration for China because their basic dictatorship......." which is the quote used by Trudeau's detractors.

Context: ".........is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say we need to go green, we need to start, you know, investing in solar." which is the reason he said the initial stupid comment. That is the very definition of "context"

con·text
ˈkäntekst/
noun
noun: context; plural noun: contexts

the parts of something written or spoken that immediately precede and follow a word or passage and clarify its meaning

Nothing that follows the sentence I gave you in any way alters what Justin said initially.....it is therefore not part of context.

When you become competent in the English language, call me, we'll debate. Until then, Fvck off, I'm done with you.

that's right... context, the thing you're purposely avoiding with your cherry-pick. Even within your cherry-pick statement, there's nuance in the words, "a level of admiration"... and "basic dictatorship". In keeping with your "commie under your bed" boogeyman fear, you choose to assign that nuance to a period in China that doesn't exist anymore. Like I said, if your boy Harper can deal with modern China, so should you be able to without attempting to fabricate for your perceived partisan gain. Outside of your direct cherry-pick you lose the context of the "most admired" type of governing that was stated in relation to Canadian territorial governance. Of course, your cherry-pick also avoids the 2 zingers that have overall contectual significance: one, that the most preferred admired territorial governing (like municipal governing) has people, "pulling together to try and solve issues rather than to score points off of each other"... and... two, the quip stating that "Sun News can now report about a China preference", has proven a brazillion percent true!

tell me, when you throw down your repeated "Fvck off" expletives, are your keystrokes hit doubly hard? Do you go through a lot of keyboards?

And we're eternally grateful here in BC. The protestors of the pipeline often drive their cars to get to the protest.

Yeah, I've read that. Mostly in the comment sections of news sites. Is it true? I have no idea. It fits nicely into what I expect from anti-environment hatemongers who barely think through the crazy nonsense they just make up. But yeah it could be true. Totally. And I bet they didn't even care when Kinder Morgan let them use their parking lot.

It's true. Some of them even chartered a bus from Victoria so they could join in the games. There is even a picture on here somewhere of them using a gas generator to power on Burnaby mountain. Burning trees as well. Something that none of us would be permitted to do in a park.

think of the children... as a part of families that came to protest. As much as you appear to revel in stereotypes, there was a good cross-section of people at those protests... peacefully protesting as was their right.

It really hurts what little credibility you have here.
I bet you wish you had some left to lose, eh?

sorry to have showcased your predilection for choosing and preferring incomplete and contextually inaccurate statements.
What's inaccurate about it?

Not bloody likely. :)

Speaking like a six year old??

It is Justin that wants to send parkas to alleviate genocide

Now that's thinking like a six year old

Yes, there's no denying Justin is inept. Resorting to baby talk only lowers oneself to a status below Justin. Clearly that is where capt belongs.

Trudeau ill-informed about Bill C-42 re guns

Hansard, November 26, 2014

Official Report * Table of Contents * Number 149 (Official Version)

Scroll down or search "Polytechnique" on the page above.

Mr. Justin Trudeau (Papineau, Lib.):

Mr. Speaker, as we approach the 25th anniversary of the Polytechnique tragedy, we are debating Bill C-42, which would allow dangerous weapons to be freely transported in a trunk of a car. Imagine if that car were broken into.

The bill also takes classification decisions on guns away from police and puts them in the hands of politicians.

Does the Prime Minister recognize how dangerous those clauses of the bill are?

Right Hon. Stephen Harper (Prime Minister, CPC):

Mr. Speaker, the statements made by the leader of the Liberal Party are completely false. The bill does not authorize the carrying of concealed weapons.

On the contrary, there is no “conceal and carry” in this legislation. The fact of the matter is that arms can only be transported between specific locations, and they must be taken by the most direct route. The firearms must be in a trunk, in a locked case, and must be unloaded. Those are the facts.

Mr. Justin Trudeau (Papineau, Lib.):

Mr. Speaker, Bill C-42 would allow handguns and assault weapons to be freely transported in a trunk anywhere within a province, even left parked outside a Canadian Tire or local hockey arena. Imagine if the car carrying these weapons were broken into or stolen.

The bill also takes classification decisions on guns away from police, and puts them in the hands of politicians.

Both of these provisions threaten Canadians' safety. Will the government remove them from Bill C-42?

Right Hon. Stephen Harper (Prime Minister, CPC):

Mr. Speaker, as I just said and I will repeat, the statements the Liberal Party leader has made are recklessly irresponsible and false. The fact of the matter is that under the current law and this proposed law, firearms can only be transported between specific locations. They must be in a locked case, they must be in a trunk, and they must be unloaded.

Those are the facts, but we expect this kind of distortion from the party that brought in the long gun registry and is itching to bring it back.

Yeah, it's true. I'm sure some ride their bikes or walk. That said, I sense a lot of the frustration isn't so much with the pipeline as with the perception that it is being waved through by the NEB.

The Chevron refinery is near there--has been since the 30s. People buy homes near it and then complain the refinery is driving down the price of their property. Go figger.

Carnivores turn a blind eye to horrible treatment of food animals, and yet are outraged at a whale in captivity.

Cognitive dissonance, I believe the psychologists call it. Hypocricy, I suppose. I like what Walt Whitman said:

Do I contradict myself?
Very well, then I contradict myself,
I am large, I contain multitudes.

Is everyone that afraid of JT? He's been an op party leader for less than a year, and he has all the cons peeing their pants. Why? Its like people I used to know at work, who couldn't demonstrate anything of value of themselves, so they attacked their co workers performance.

Start bragging about conservative performance and success, start pointing out the reason conservative policy is better, (oh and pay down the friggin debt) and perhaps legalize pot - its a no brainer unless of course we want to win the last industrial country to do so (cause it's coming) - and get on with the business of managing the country. Or, **** on the other guy and, as a political strategy to get another government, hope it sticks.
