You should fifgure out a way to work Hitler in there.

As for China, you should be nicer to them.. Their slave labour is keeping our economy afloat.

Actually, Alberta and Saskatchewan have been keeping our economy afloat.

On behalf of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

You're welcome.

You're welcome.

And we're eternally grateful here in BC. The protestors of the pipeline often drive their cars to get to the protest. On the other hand, those who complain the loudest about Communist China do most of their shopping at Walmart.

Not Hitler......but in his youth Pierre was a supporter of fascism......as he grew up, he slid from one extreme of the political spectrum to the other.

You should know something before you make fun.....

Obviously, yes I do.

you claim this as the complete contextually accurate quote: "There is a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say we need to go green, we need to start, you know, investing in solar."

was that the complete quote... in context? You obviously got that "complete contextually accurate quote" from Sun News! Try this one:

Trudeau drew much criticism after a Toronto event Thursday, where he was asked which nation’s administration he most admired and why.

The Liberal leader provided a layered response, but opponents latched on to the first line of his answer.

There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime,” Trudeau said, according to reports on the event. “I mean there is a flexibility that I know Stephen Harper must dream about, of having a dictatorship that he can do everything he wanted, that I find quite interesting.”

Trudeau then went on to address the nub of the question.

But if I were to reach out and say which…kind of administration I most admire, I think there’s something to be said right here in Canada for the way our territories are run,” he said.

Nunavut, Northwest Territories, and the Yukon are done without political parties around consensus. And are much more like a municipal government. And I think there’s a lot to be said for people pulling together to try and solve issues rather than to score points off of each other.”

Trudeau rounded off his answer by quipping “but Sun News can now report that I prefer China.”

I challenged you to put up the full complete quote that JT made concerning that particular China dictatorship fixation of yours... I didn't see it and apologize if I missed it! Are your "arguments" so weak as to have to manufacture incomplete or out-of-context statements like that one... and now like this one?

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau is facing criticism for confiding an apparent admiration for China’s dictatorial tendencies during a “ladies-night” themed fundraiser held in Toronto on Thursday.

During the event, which itself was widely criticized for sexist and patronizing undertones, an audience member asked Mr. Trudeau which nation’s “administration he most admired.”

The party leader responded: “There is a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say we need to go green, we need to start, you know, investing in solar. There is a flexibility that I know Stephen Harper must dream about: having a dictatorship where you can do whatever you wanted, that I find quite interesting.”

Oh I see....it is not valid because I didn't include the (irrelevant) attempt to smear Harper.

He said what he said.

He then tried to backtrack, as even the idiot Trudeau realized he had gone wayyyy too far. First by somehow putting his own stated admiration for dictatorship off on Harper (huh??) and then by trying to deflect from what he had already said.

Your obsequious excuses for the Boy Moron are transparently ridiculous.

oh... you're now a self-acknowledged discriminator of what you'll decide to quote, hey! Setting that aside, it's most self-serving of you to presume to ignore the other statements... you know, to ignore the full context! Isn't it a hoot how JT pegged what Sun News (and its minions) would choose to run with?

You wanted the full sentence, I gave you the full sentence, now fvck off. I included what was relevant, and you know it.

Actually, the full quote makes Trudeau sound worse.....his pathetic attempt to backtrack and pin some responsibility for what he said on Harper, then on Sun News.

sorry to have showcased your predilection for choosing and preferring incomplete and contextually inaccurate statements. It's also a shame you haven't the required interweeb temperament to discuss anything without reverting to your fall-back insult routine.

I was aware of that, yes. Those were heady times in Quebec. I don't really know much about the NEP and all that though as that was before my time.

Actually, it doesn't but don't let that stop you.

That's OK....sooner or later you will develop reading comprehension skills.......:)

I gave you exactly what you asked for....the full sentence, the context in which he admired China's "basic dictatorship"
.

If you wanted everything Trudeau said well.....

Day one. Gurgle gurgle WAHHHHHH

Day Two. Gurgle WAHHHH

Day three: WAhhhh gurgle gurgle.

Day four: gurgle WAHHH Gurgle

Day five: Gurgle gaaa gurlgle WAH

(to be continued)

Actually he made more sense then.

This is what he says now, through his party.......

"Stephen Harper is taking that power away from the police and giving it to politicians. Unacceptable"

Nice job distracting from that issue.

no - I asked you for the full quote/statements... I also spoke to context. What you provided is what Sun News and Harper Conservatives have purposely singled out; an isolated cherry-picked statement taken out of complete context. Notwithstanding that, you earlier implied Harper's aggressive pursuit of China trade/investments was a measured approach in relation to a Harper that, "softly voices concern about human rights in China"! Sure, you betcha!

I know I can't expect much from a Liberal supporter.......but heck you really are being obtuse.
I quoted you the entire sentence in question, in which Trudeau stated his admiration for China's basic dictatorship, and why he admired it......that is context. His realization of his mistake, and his pathetic attempt to backtrack and change the subject has absolutely nothing to do with the original statement of Commie-love,. The context is why he said that, which I gave you in the quote you asked for.

I can't help it if you are too stupid, or too stubborn to admit that.

So, you can kiss my a$$.

After that useless bit of inanity, which has now gone on for pages, I guess it is entirely too much to ask that you understand that doing a trade deal with China is not the same as admiring their basic dictatorship. A dictatorship that has murdered tens of millions.

Everything isn't peachy keen, it better be having had the great Harper at the helm.

Great? No......

Competent? Yes......

Which is a lot more than you can say for Justin.

Stephen Harper is taking that power away from the police and giving it to politicians. Unacceptable"

That is Trudeau's thought process.

oh ya baby! It's definitely your, as you say, "sentence in question"... the cherry-picked out of complete context sentence! It's clear you choose to have a most self-serving and selective view of dealing with China... for you and your Harper guy, it's just "doing business"! And, remarkably, you're a freakin' amazing interpreter of the sequencing of the statements made... considering you didn't even know about them, you sure can put a spin on how the exchange went down, can't you? You can stuff your, "obtuse, stubborn, stupid and kiss my a$$" insults down your own pie-hole!

as I've said before, the China of today is not your China of 50+ years ago... you need to get your mind/perspective into today's modern world, hey! Just follow your own "Dear Leader's" path to an awakening China! Your boy Harper so admires the Chinese "dictatorship" that he just can't get enough of their trade/investment luvin'!
