Nothing personal, believe me. I like Canada. But basically, if you get in, everybody will assume you're just the U.S.'s lap dog. If you stay out, nobody will even notice.

It's a non-issue for Canada. Save the money. Stay home. Let the dumb Yanks handle it.

Your record in WWI was absolutely f*cking magnificent. Vimy Ridge was Canada's finest hour. I absolutely honour the amazing Canadian heroes of WWI.

And WWII. Your contribution was critical to Allied success.

As I said, I like Canada, and I admire your terrific military. But facts are facts. This is the U.S. and the UK against the Ay-rabs. Everything else is a sideshow.

Rex Murphy: As Trudeau stumbles, Mulcair finds his moment

Under Mr. Trudeau, the Liberals look very much like the older version of the NDP. The party disclaims the military — as in the ISIS affair — with a readiness very much in consonance with the NDP’s view of such matters. It strums the multicultural, inclusiveness, diversity guitar just as passionately as the party of social justice. And it is surely as green as the NDP. Windmills will find much favour in a Trudeau government.

Coles Notes On Justin Trudeau's New Book

Before Justin's epic new tome hits bookstores here is the condensed version:

I was a shy, awkward child. Growing up not knowing who your father is can be confusing. Was it Fidel, Andy, or Mick? When I was 15 I was having a beer with Maggie T. and she told me it was Pierre. At first I laughed and laughed and laughed. I said: "No seriously: It was really Andy Warhol, right?" But she insisted. Entering adulthood a beautiful metamorphosis took place and I transformed into the most awe-inspiring majestic butterfly of Canadian politics. And that it is why I am now your beloved Prime Minister.

Justin Trudeau agreed to an interview with Global TV's Jas Johal yesterday, which you can watch here.
Here is the reaction of well known B.C. political pundit, Alex G. Tsakumis, republished with permission:

If this is the idiotic, rhetorical ineffectiveness that the Liberal Party of Canada and their team of fools, think is going to get an unaccomplished, airhead across the goal line before Stephen Harper, then I misjudged the Grits integrity -- they have none. It's grotesquely offensive to me as a Canadian that the Liberal Party of Canada has clearly learned nothing from the progressively more punishing rebuke they earned, thrice, at the polls. Win, by all means. But the offering of Justin Trudeau as anything even approaching a legitimate, credible candidate, is so utterly and completely insulting to the intelligence of the Canadian public. Being in public life shouldn't be on-the-job training. His interview with Jas Johal tonight, only confirms that Trudeau has not only inherited his mother's looks, but her brains, too. Very disappointing, and a contemptible disregard for real issues. Just fluff. And beyond belief that anyone in the media could possibly take him in any way seriously. Beyond belief.

Guess I missed that interview - the link doesn't go there. sigh

Have I mentioned yet today that I think Trudeau is a fool? No? Trudeau is a fool.

"Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau says it was Prime Minister Stephen Harper's "ego" that led him to send six CF-18s to participate in airstrikes in Iraq, rather than a concern for Canada's long-term interests."

The flake doesn't get it.

It isn't about ego or Canada's long-term interests. If it were for those reasons we would have sent a lot more than six fighter jets, a tanker and surveillance aircraft.

It's about working with our allies to try to stop stuff like this.

I watched him being interviewed on C.B.C. today - while perhaps not a fool, he's not spontaneous with the ready answers.:)
