You know, the idea that the media has a role in holding the gov't or candidates to account is very much an American idea. Here we have question period in which to hold the gov't to account. I have NO problem with Justin not answering the question.....his NOT answering it was answer enough.

Although it WOULD be nice to have some consistency of expectation. Harper has taken muchos flack over his treatment of the media.

What DOES get me is the bloody sight of Justin. That idiot half smile, the eyes blinking into the camera, it all just screams "THE LIGHTS ARE ON.....BUT NOBODY IS HOME" The guy even LOOKS like an imbecile. Does nobody get this??

no, because it is the 'duty' of the other team to actively support their dude, their role, whoever it may be, sans reservations...if they don't then they'll feel like they're supporting harper...they fear they'll be shunned by the local baristas...the illogic is strong in those types.

Yeah, he's no Michael Ignatieff or Bob Rae or Stephane Dion in the brains department. But they didn't too well with all those smarts. And besides, they'll all be workging for him.

Unfortunately, it takes a man of some skill and sense to pick good advisers, and then be wise enough to listen to them.

Justin has shown no sign of skill, sense, or wisdom.

Yeah, people can be gullible but I think by the election rolls around most people will be "onto" him. I think the guy means well and there's no disgrace in trying, but he'd be a lot better off being P.M.'s aide- make sure the shirts are pressed and the shoes are polished.
