Teddyballgame,

Gopher ... Your usual mountain of misinformation and malice towards Romney continues.

Teddy, you misunderstood my post. I specifically said that I've known Mormons who served in the military. Whoopi Goldberg can speak for herself. If you want to criticize what she said, direct your words to her not to me.

As for malice, you've shown quite a bit towards Obama and your threads have been proven to be wrong quite a bit.

I am not a Romney supporter (or an Obama supporter for that matter) but this type of behavior cannot be condoned or accepted. The whole idea of an open democracy is allowing everyone their opinion even if it is diametrically opposed to your own. I hope they find the idiot(s) and charge them with vandalism & public mischief and throw the book at them as an example to others.

I am reminded of the so called attack on the Republican woman by Obama supporters during the 2008 campaign. Remember how everyone said this brought disgrace upon Democrats only to be discovered later that her attack was fake? Therefore, don't be surprised if this act of vandalism was committed by anyone other than an Obama supporter.

I don't have a problem with someone serving humanity instead of the industrial war complex machine. This is not a negative in my view but a huge positive. Promoting peace and helping fellow humans should always be valued far above military service and war.

There is supposed to be separation of church and state. When the Berrigan brothers and Catholic Workers spoke out against the Vietnam war and encouraged young people to become pacifists and serve in their churches, the right wingers all said they were commies. In fact, for many years pacifists were said to be enemies of America. Thus, when they attempted to get CO status many were denied this and thrown into jail because the courts and pols refused to recognize their church doctrines. In the minds of these authorities, only the state has the right to dictate how one should serve their country.

When you think about it, it's amazing how Mormons could get exemptions for doing missions but Catholic Workers, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Christadelphians get jail instead of exemptions. The double standards are nothing more than blatant discrimination.

Locutus ... You can't predict a decisive Romney victory like this, the lunatic left wing fringe which makes up the majority of this board will savage you as they have me for saying the same thing. Oh wait a moment, you actually can because they like you as their token conservative here and because you are the moderator. Carry on.

P.S. I hope this post wasn't too long and you aren't going to scold me for it.

Wrong again Teddy boy. We like Locutus because he is respectful of others and their opinions and doesn't resort to childish name-calling and derogatory, demeaning statements.

One day you too may learn to use the good side of the force my young apprentice. ;-)

PS: if you're gonna go through here and just plug reds on all my posts there are over 2800 more to go....enjoy yourself.

- You are the one who some time ago began to put red minus signs beside most of my new posts so I figure that I might as well reciprocate. But I think it is asinine to have the green and red signs at all and only post red signs beside the posts of transparently obvious left wing loonies and bileous baiters like yourself who follow me around red flagging my posts . Its tit for tat you see. But if you stop being an asshat then I certainly will stop responding in kind.

As long as you keep using the language you do toward other members, words such as 'left wing loonie', 'asshat', 'lunatic left wing fringe', ' ignorant, uninformed, irrational lefty group', 'moronic left wing fascist freak' and a host of others you will keep getting reds from more than just me.

You see Teddy, I am not at all affiliated with the left wing of politics, nor am I on the right. I am an independent constitutionalist with a social conscience who can see validity in different positions on different issues. You have never bothered to find out about me or my views or positions, in fact you know nothing at all about me yet you immediately jumped on me with insults trying to pigeonhole me into a group you obviously despise simply for having a different viewpoint on the issues of the day. I have sympathy for you my friend. Your narrow, close-minded view of the world will not get you much respect on this forum and probably in the real world. Learn to express your views without the derogatory remarks and you will find things better for yourself.

Poor wittle Teddy!

There is supposed to be separation of church and state.

That is something that doesn't bother me at all one way or the other, at least no where near as much as it bothers me that there are those who are bothered it. However, I think it is something that could give the Romeister trouble!

Give me a clue.............................does it go under the heading of............... "what goes around comes around"?

For starters. I do not give a damn what anyone's political views are. I do care when people show themselves to be continually disrespectful of anyone who doesn't fall lock step into their thought patterns. Most adults grasp the concept of respectful discourse or at the very least do not need to succumb to the lowest common denominator with each and every thought expressed.

Arrogance and hypocrisy are two things I have zero tolerance for and if someone is going to do unto others as they whine about being done unto them within the same post, I'm going to slap that bit of hypocrisy right up into their face. Regardless of how many neg reps it earns me.

Funny isn't it, how some posters when they are aware of your political philosophy can all of a sudden become downright "cool"..................like who cares, personally the political "stripe" is irrelevent, I just want to see them do something that works, (without screwing the electorate of course) As for hypocrisy, we all have a bit of it.

Becoming 'cool' to someone just because they hold a very specific different view than you do is just an example of closed mindedness. Because you're reducing another human being to a simple one note song. Is the sum total of the value of anyone's existence merely predicated on what X they mark on a ballot??? By that insane logic a serial killer, for example, would be A-OK in someone's books just because he happens to have voted the same way as what has been designated as "the right way". It is an overly simplistic way of thinking, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong it can certainly impact your opinion of another person, that is not unjustifiable since we are talking about philosophies and issues. Opinions can definitely be very strong and, once relayed, will shape our judgements. But when it comes right down to it, painting an entire group with one brush is painting an entire group with one brush. It is an attitude that, in the end, is nothing more than bigotry.

Some of the people that I admire, respect and love the most are the same people that I have strong disagreements with on various issues and philosophies.

As for hypocrisy, we all have a bit of it.
It is a part of the human condition, we all need to fight against it to be sure. But for some it seems to be a lifestyle choice.

Why don't you try reading the entire article before jumping in with your incessant derogatory remarks. I know it is more than 2 sentences and there are some words over 5 letter so it might be hard for you but do try at least. The deal had nothing to do with Bain. Romney's involvement was through the vulture hedge fund Elliot Mgmt run by Paul Singer, who also donated $2.3 million to the GOP. But why am I bothering you with facts when I could just call you an A$$hat and a jealous loser.

I sure hope your family likes you because I'm not sure anyone else would with the way you act around here.

?????
The hypocrisy is palpable.

Hmmm.

I wonder why they do that to you. Any guesses Einstein?

Political ideology should never get in the way of common sense.....but it often does...

You see that happen with the "greenies" too.......

True, sometimes I'll hand out a "greenie", not so much because I agree with the point of view, but more because I respect it because of the rationale attached.

I'm talking about his overall demeanor and attitude, so my observation is spot on as well.

With any ideology when it is the be all, end all of someone's existence. Honestly don't these people have lives? Are they really that one dimensional?

Obviously we all think that we are right, I wouldn't want to contemplate how masochistic someone would have to be to live a philosophy that they thought was wrong. (Actually I'm not even sure that 'masochistic' would be the right term for it, but I'm sure you know what I mean.)

Heheh...I was talking about Greenies as in tree huggers, global warming enthusiasts etc...

That was funny though. :):):)

Al Sharpton: We’re Setting Up Poll-Watching “Brigades”…

Between MSNBC, the radio gig and political operations, the Reverend Al Sharpton's income these days is comfortably one-percenter.

That's why the thought of paying considerably more during Obama's Regime II: The Crappy Sequel must be especially distressing for the Rev. He'll defend his friend until the end, but the pocketbook certainly will take a big hit.

During Thursday's edition of Keeping It Real, Al stumbled when a caller confronted him with the facts about O's coming tax hikes. Even when the battle turned emotional and opportunities existed to clarify some assertions (such as the difference between ordinary and business income), he failed to show a basic understanding:

more resist we much:
