Maybe it runs in the family because GW was out of touch with the planet. He set objectives that were not winnable and he severely damaged the reputation of the US by doing so. One didn't need to be a political scientist to see he was heading in the wrong direction. Lets not forget most of the planet was on his side after 911 so it wasn't a pre-planned effort to discredit him. I was rooting for the guy. Never been so disappointed and angry with a leader than what he became.
I have said before that it puzzled me why he was hell bent on going to war with Iraq. I think we pulled the trigger to early on them. Sure they were an enemy of the US but Saddam was also the enemy of our current enemies. Iraq gave them the battleground in which to fight which is what I believe that Al Queda wanted. Bush Jr. walked right into it. I was not sorry to see Bush Jr. go.
From a Canadian perspective i just don't get the new American obsession and hysteria about their current president,he's just another politician whose relevance is down there with used car dealers and lawyers. he will serve out his time in office and be replaced by another politician,it's been going on for a few hundred years,the only difference from other presidents i can see is he's black coupled with Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck type shows,what else am i missing? Do people really believe Mccain and Palin would have been more competant leaders?
So what you are saying is that most blacks are stupid. You are not alone, that typifies the attitude of many conservatives towards blacks. That is why blacks shun the Republican Party like a plague.
It doesn’t matter what color is the Democrat (black or white), what color is the Republican (black or white), blacks invariably vote for a Democrat. Even when Republicans have a viable black candidate (like Michael Steele in Maryland Senate race), he fails to get appreciable number of black votes.
Until conservatives can garner a significant number of black votes (say at least 35 or 40%), they will lack any credibility when it comes to racism.
Quite so, blacks vote for Democratic Party because by and large, Democrats have black friendly policies. Republicans claim not to be racist, but somehow their policies many times end up hurting blacks, gays and other minorities.
Until Republicans institute some black friendly policies, simply accusing Democrats of racism and claiming that Republicans are a paragon of virtue when it comes to race, just won’t wash. No matter what conservatives think, blacks aren’t that stupid.
As i have already pointed out, you hardly have any credibility when it comes to racism. Blacks shun your side like they would shun the Black Plague.
But we all know that because you disagree with someone's politics, everything they say is suspect in your view.
So nothing that anyone says holds any credibility with you, unless they have the same political ideology. Which makes any criticism you have, completely pointless, since we know that you'll dismiss anything posted by anyone who doesn't agree with you anyway.

Actually, it a little bit worse for blacks. After all it was Martin Luther King Jr. - a black man - who said that people should be judged not by the colour of their skin, but by the contents of their character.
Seems that 90% of blacks, who deliberately, willfully and, yes, stupidly ignore the wisdom of MLK and vote Democrat richly deserve to be called STUPID.
And there is nothing more racist about it than calling white religious extremists monolithically voting Republican, stupid.

Only those who fall easily for Baptist 'ministers' like Al Sharpton. Or Jesse Jackson.
Only those who are happy to receive handouts for the rest of their lives.
Only those who are afraid to offend fellow blacks who sold their souls to the Democrats.
Only those who think that speaking proper English is a sell-out to Whitey.
Only those who never had a library card and/or never read a book.
Only those whose cash at the supermarket is food-stamps.
Only those whose children are born out of wedlock.
To make long story short, those who don't believe in God, but believe that if there is a God, it is Obama.
