IOC is racist. After the POTUS and the FLOTUS spoke to the IOC the IOC then up and voted Chicago out of the running for the 2016 Olympics.

SirJosephPorter, finally an honest word from you!!

Admitting that you are a racist, an BEING PROUD OF IT is more than I could ever hope for.

Thanks for your long-awaited HONESTY.

Don’t put words in my mouth, YJ. I said I am proud when a conservative like you (who thinks that blacks are racist and stupid) calls me a racist. That tells me that my views on race are just right.

Same as if you accused me of hating gays, I would be honoured, knowing your views on gays.

I can ask the moderators to close it if I want to, TenPenny. That is my right. You don’t have to agree with me.

You agree that this thread should be closed, because it has degenerated, then when someone suggests that you simply stop posting in it, you state that you can post in it if you want to, and now you're whining that it's your 'right' to ask it to be closed if you want it to.

Are you 8 years old? You certainly act like it.

You can't resist posting in it, so it should be closed so that nobody can post in it, because that's your right. I'm going to take my ball (more accurately, someone else's ball) and go home so that nobody can play, just because I can't resist.

If you want to take the ball and go home, that is your right. So what is your point? We all have the right to say anything we want. You telling me not to do something may prompt me to do it all the more.

Town halls were mostly attended by Republican base, ironsides. I think Democrats were right to ignore the Town halls. To listen to Town hall participants, Obama is a Nazi, a Fascist, a Communist, a Socialist, a Muslim terrorist and an illegal alien. These were the events where they drew Hitler’s’ moustache on Obama, carried posters showing Obama as an African witch doctor etc.

I think in summer the Republicans made a concerted effort to get out their base at the Town hall meeting and systematically proceeded to trash many meetings. Democrats are quite right to ignore them. And a few like Barney Franks gave as good as they got.

Why do you say that SJP? The town meetings are attended by all political parties. No one asked anyone what political affiliation they were part of. As far as race is concerned, there were Blacks, Hispanics, Indians as well as whites represented. If you think that town meetings are mainly a republican forum, you are mistaken. Town meetings are a old American custom been doing it since we became a country. I personally have only been to two, one about 20 years ago and the one were talking about. At the end, everyone left in a friendly mood.

I read an exhange recently on another forum, which made me think of this:

-Why don't we wind up this thread? It is really getting boring.
-Stop reading it then. Others may enjoy it still.
-Good advice, xxxx. I will do that.

I guess it goes to show how little clout Obama has outside of the US when he personally went to Copenhagen to push for Chi-town.

Nobody is arguing against your right to make yourself look foolish. TP is merely pointing out that that is what you are doing. It's no real surprise that you can't seem to grasp such a simple concept.

This Thread will either fall off the front page as people lose interest
in rehashing the same old same old...or it won't. If it is reported for
something, the Moderators will be forced to read through it and then
clean up what needs to be cleaned up...and away it goes again.

If the Thread comes to a point where it needs to be removed, the
people that put it in that that state would also need to be removed
for some kind of vacation away from the Forum.

I'm not even going to pretend that I'm current on this Thread as I'm
not. Obama as a topic, unless something new is happening, is a
topic that would put me to sleep if I had to wade through Forty
Pages of this Thread.

What's the opposite of guilt by association? It must be innocence by association.
Someone who talks of "blacks" as if they are "those people" as Jokey seems to, probably walls like a duck, sounds like a duck .....
"I am not racist because I am liberal and blacks vote liberal". lmao

EXACTLY!

Perfect.

Chicago was knocked out in the first round.

FAILED

Good for Brazil though! They will do a much better job than Chicago would.

Nobody pick on Obama worse than Obama.

Too bad that being a narcissist, egotistical and monomaniacal and petulant little boy, that he is Obama, and even more pathetically, his sycophants can't see that.

Yup, His general in Afghanistan is asking for more help and what is President Obama doing, he is out partying for a crime ridden city to host the Olympics. Bet he has some relatives who were backing up Custer, maybe he is related to Nero also? There sure is a lot to pick on.

I know town hall meetings are a tradition in USA, ironsides, but I can only go by what I see on television, CNN and other stations. The crowd they showed at the Town Hall meetings was mostly white. Certainly the yahoos who made fools of themselves on television were all of them white.

Also we saw shouting, yelling, heckling, drowning out the speaker, carrying signs comparing Obama to Hitler etc. I am sure that is not the tradition of town hall meetings, they are meant to promote the dialog, discussion between opposing viewpoints.

But what we saw on television was not exchange of ideas, but a systematic attempt by a small but noisy minority (which I suspect was mostly the Republican base) to trash meeting after meeting and to shut down the meetings.

I agree that Town hall meetings is a noble, worthwhile tradition in USA, we have very few of those here in Canada. But this summer one political party hijacked that tradition to make political points, to trash any significant, meaningful, rational discussion about health care.

That's what happens to cheap people who are not willing to see the other side.

If you had opened your purse (loaded full by your getting married up) and subscribed to FOXNews Network, you woul have seen the blacks, Hispanics, Democrats. liberals, independents and perhaps even purple or greem Martians who are just plain fed up with big government.

Those who may have been shouted down were the TRUE yahooes, who can't seem to realize that they are there to serve and not being lords and masters. They are the ones who made fools of themselves; not only fools, but arrogant, inpertinent and disrespectful jerks who fail miserably to represent the people who sadly, and obviously mistakenly, elected them.

SirJosephPorter, where was your indigdation when - for EIGHT YEARS - you saw innumerable occassions, innumerable times, innumerable signs comparing GW Bush to Hitler? Where were you, seeing reports showing Bush burt in effigy? Where was your indignation?

What you saw on television, by your own admission, is the limited and biased reporting of CNN. PITY!!

Convince your source of revenue (you know, your better half) to subscribe to FOXNews, if for nothing else, just to say you are informed enough to say what you are talking about.

FOX news is a mouthpiece of Republican Party, by their own implicit admission. I refuse to contribute to the coffers of Republican Party.

You only see what the media wants you to see. Most town meeting are like the following, not very news worthy. I'm not convinced that some of those meetings we saw on TV were not staged, by who I have no idea. They did make news though didn't they.

"More than 150 Hopkinton residents voted on 42 articles at the first part of the town's annual meeting, addressing such issues as the Board of Selectmen's town budget, changing the Board of Public Works to an elected body and rezoning articles."
