Meghan Markle has accused Buckingham Palace of “perpetuating falsehoods” even as more reports about her alleged bullying emerge.

The former Suits actress has been adept at spinning the narrative that she and her husband, Prince Harry, have been victimized by the royal family.

And the Hollywood savvy Markle even enlisted pal Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all pally chat slated for this Sunday.

But on Wednesday it emerged that the 39-year-old Duchess of Sussex had terrorized palace employees to the point many were left in tears while others quit in disgust.

“Those concerned are fed up with the sheer hypocrisy of it all. The suggestion that they (the Sussexes) were being bullied and forced out when others were experiencing that very treatment at their hands,” one former staffer told the Daily Mail.

A spokeswoman for Meghan said earlier that she was “saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself, and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.”

Here are the latest developments:

— The Daily Mail reports there is a so-called “Sussex Survivors Club” for staffers who endured Harry and Meghan’s tirades and alleged bullying.

— Fleet Street’s voracious tabloids are skewering the couple, including wondering why they’re proceeding with the interview given Prince Phillip’s precarious health.

— Piers Morgan called the clips of the Oprah interview “puke-worthy” and wrote: “Ms Markle thinks she’s in a movie. This interview is going to be Oscar-winning deluded self-serving bilge.”

— The couple’s hagiographer, Omid Scobie, said one pal of Markle’s told him she is a “woman of colour in a senior position … accused of being too angry, too scary, too whatever in the workplace.”

It was also pointed out it was female staffers who allegedly suffered most from Markle’s wrath.

“Note that everyone concerned was a woman,” a former staff member told the Mail. “Sam (Samantha Cohen) always made clear that it was like working for a couple of teenagers. They were impossible and pushed her to the limit. She was miserable.”

Meanwhile, promotion of the Oprah interview continues apace with a new clip released Thursday.

“How do you feel about the Palace hearing you speak your truth today?” Winfrey asks Markle in the excerpt.

Markle responds: “I don’t know how they could expect that after all of this time we would still just be silent, if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.”

The Firm is the name the British royal family sometimes uses to describe itself.

“And if that comes with risk of losing things, I mean, there’s a lot that’s been lost already,” Meghan added.

The interview was recorded before The Times of London ran a report citing unnamed sources as saying an aide to Harry and Meghan had raised a complaint in October 2018 alleging Markle had reduced some of her assistants to tears and treated others so badly that they quit.

The paper claimed Harry urged the aide, who has now left their staff, to drop the complaint and it never progressed.

The palace said its HR team would look into the allegations and that members of staff involved at the time would be invited to participate.

That decision was confirmed last month when they also handed over all their royal patronages. They said their move was fueled in part by intense press intrusion.

LONDON — Meghan, Britain’s Duchess of Sussex, said she had given an in-depth interview to U.S. chat show host Oprah Winfrey to be aired on Sunday because she was now free speak for herself after she and husband Prince Harry quit their royal duties.

Meghan, 39, and Queen Elizabeth’s grandson Harry, 36, stunned the royal family in January last year by announcing they would step down from their official royal roles to forge a new, independent life in California.

The split was confirmed last month, and, in the last week, the couple and Buckingham Palace have engaged in an increasingly bitter war of words, amid claims of lies, bullying and smears.

“I’m ready to talk,” Meghan, a former American actress, told Winfrey in an excerpt shown on U.S. station CBS on Friday ahead of Sunday’s broadcast, as she explained why she had agreed to the interview.

“As an adult who lived a really independent life to then go into this construct that is different than I think what people imagine it to be, it’s really liberating to be able to have the right and the privilege in some ways to be able to say yes.”

Harry and Meghan married in May, 2018, becoming global celebrities combining British royalty and Hollywood glamour.

But less than two years later, they stepped away from official duties, saying the media intrusion was overbearing. Meghan later revealed she felt “unprotected” by the monarchy while pregnant with son Archie.

Their decision to give the interview to Winfrey has been criticized by some newspapers as hypocrisy, flying in the face of their stated desire for privacy.

“We have the ability to make our own choices in a way that I couldn’t have said yes (to a previous request for an interview). That wasn’t my choice to make,” Meghan told Winfrey, a guest at their wedding, in Friday’s excerpt.

“It’s really liberating to be able to have the right and the privilege in some ways to be able to say yes … to be able to just make a choice on your own and just be able to speak for yourself.”

Winfrey said she had first asked Meghan for an interview in early 2018.

In a previous excerpt, the duchess told Winfrey that Buckingham Palace had been guilty of “perpetuating falsehoods” about her and her spouse.

Earlier this week, the Palace said it would be investigating allegations that Meghan had bullied former members of staff, saying it was very concerned about the claims.

The interview comes as Harry’s 99-year-old grandfather, Prince Philip, is in hospital, where he underwent a successful procedure for a pre-existing heart condition on Wednesday.

“There’s absolutely no doubt whatsoever that the situation is toxic,” royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Reuters. “All of this will define their relations with the royal family for the foreseeable future. It’s extremely perilous.”

Iditarod dogs are barking on another matter. Looking forward to the race.

As long as it lasts, bob. Sadly with PETA and ART's at work the I'Rod may not be around much longer as it was. Though it's good to see the broken down YQ type races did really well this year; proud that Gatt won!

They have something going on starting Mar 7. Not international but Fairbanks to Eagle Summit and back . Many big names including Dallas Seavey. I'll cheer for them all. Dark horse pick is Matt Hall.

I haven't kept up for this year's run though I did know it was shortened. I was hoping Ali would be able to win before she retired but looks like that's not gonna happen; too bad. That said I'll take a look to see who's running what they do have this year. (I'd watch if Rob Cooke was running but he's not)

Ending at Eagle though... that's taking the challenge right out of it, LOL

Priti, Meghan and the racism of political correctness

Why the woke elites love Markle and loathe Patel.

Priti, Meghan and the racism of political correctness

BRENDAN O'NEILL

EDITOR

5th March 2021

Spiked

So let me get this right. When people accuse Meghan Markle of bullying, they’re being racist. They’re indulging the ‘angry black woman’ trope. They’re lashing out with lies because they fear strong women of colour who know what they want. But when people accuse Priti Patel of bullying, they’re being tip-top. No racism at all in that. ‘Of course Priti’s a bully’, say all the people who literally five minutes earlier were saying ‘How dare you call Meghan a bully, you racist shits?’.

Every now and then there’s a convergence of stories that exposes the hypocrisies and backwardness of our times. The crashing together of the Markle and Patel ‘bullying’ claims in the media universe is precisely such a convergence. The self-styled guardians of correct thinking are happy to call Patel a bully but they will marshall the entire armoury of woke-speak against any hint of a suggestion that Markle might be a bully. It couldn’t be clearer: political correctness, for all its claims of anti-racism, only offers protection to some people of colour. The rest can get stuffed.

As part of the ongoing war of words between the House of Sussex and the House of Windsor – as everyone says, series 23 of The Crown is going to be brilliant – royal aides have leaked to the press the fact that Markle was accused of bullying while at Clarence House. Buckingham Palace has launched an investigation. Yes, this is a transparent effort to pre-empt and undermine Harry and Meghan’s ‘explosive’ chat with Oprah that is being broadcast this weekend. But it’s also quite a funny story: the queen of wokeness, the self-styled global dispenser of compassion, being accused of being a bit of a bitch behind the scenes.

And the Patel bullying saga is back in the news, too. The home secretary has faced accusations of bullying in the various departments she has worked in in recent years. Apparently she once stormed out of her office and barked at a bunch of mandarins, ‘Why is everyone so fucking useless?’. Good question, if you ask me. Philip Rutnam, the Home Office’s top civil servant who locked horns with Ms Patel and left his post as a result, has now been awarded a £340,000 settlement.

This means that, at the exact same time, a woman of colour the woke love and a woman of colour they loathe are embroiled in bullying scandals. And the chattering classes’ response has been very revealing indeed. All the academic lingo about structural racism and misogyny is being deployed to protect Markle from accusations of bad behaviour. Yet none of this, not a bit of it, is being done for Patel. Markle is surrounded by the PC forcefield of the race card, her supporters dutifully yelling ‘racist!’ at all her critics and detractors. Patel is afforded no such support. Of course she’s a bully, they say – look at her.

So are these women bullies? My personal view is that no one over the age of 16 should use the word bullying to describe being put under pressure. Yes, workplace managers can be nasty and their behaviour will sometimes need to be called out and corrected. But too often the phrase ‘workplace bullying’ is used to describe what is actually normal behaviour in a high-pressure environment.

It makes sense to me that the Home Office is a stressful place to work and that the home secretary might occasionally use the F-word. I mean, this is an institution charged with protecting the British people from terrorism and crime: I want it to be a stressful place to work. As for the palaces of the British royal family, come on – this is a ‘firm’ that believes it was handpicked by God to rule over the plebs; of course it’s going to have its fair share of snobs and creeps, including newcomers like Meghan. No one should ever be mistreated at work, but if you’re going to work in an institution where you literally have to curtsy to your employers and refer to them as Their Royal Highnesses, then you’re going to have to prep yourself for dealing with self-important arses.

To me, it seems that Patel and Markle are ball-breakers, not ‘bullies’. People find that harder to believe of Markle because they buy the hype that she’s a fashionista Mother Teresa, an effortlessly compassionate creature, a woke holy mother. Their naivety about the Markle phenomenon, about the big-bucks business and political machinery that she and Harry are building around their brand, means they can never believe anything bad about Markle. They see her as saintly, and criticism as blasphemy. Or at least as racism.

But there’s something else going on here, too. It’s not just that they adhere to a double standard on bullying depending on whether or not they like the person being accused of bullying. After all, the right does that, too. It is relishing the Markle bullying story while being more dismissive of the Patel one. No, the broader, more worrying thing is the way that the new identitarianism elevates some people of colour as worthy and deserving of the protections of political correctness, while denouncing others as ‘problematic’, as traitors to their race, and as deserving of nothing less than being cast out of the ethnic-minority club.

The woke loathe Patel because she’s an Asian-heritage person who holds views that Asian-heritage people are apparently not meant to hold. She’s right-wing, she’s very law’n’order, she admires Thatcher. And this means she has betrayed her race. Commentators openly accuse her of having sold out to whiteness, of happily providing a brown face to Boris Johnson’s ‘hard right’ government. These are just fancy ways of calling her a coconut, an Uncle Tom. Meghan, in contrast, is worshipped because she perfectly embodies what this new elite considers to be the correct way of thinking for people of colour. She conforms to their expectations of this race of people, and therefore she is praised.

What we can see here is the racism in political correctness itself. Its treatment of entire racial or ethnic groups as monolithic blocs, as throngs of people who must all think and speak alike, is outright racist. It robs people of colour of their individuality and their agency. It reduces them to the nodding dogs of ‘correct thought’. And it will punish them if they even think of deviating from what the new academic elites and regressive left have decreed to be the one and only way for ‘those people’ to think and behave. So Markle is praised because she’s a good person of colour; Patel is denounced and denied the protections of political correctness because she’s a bad person of colour. This is the new prejudice. This is the new racial hatred. And it isn’t much better than the old.

The knives are re-sharpened, the royal courtiers are gnashing teeth dripping in vitriol as yet another defiant wife of a prince prepares to break protocol and speak her truth.

Almost 30 years after their bullying of Princess Diana, nothing much has changed with The Firm.

‘I’M READY TO TALK’: Meghan on Oprah interview

Around the world Sunday, TVs will be tuned to Oprah Winfrey’s CBS interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the royal couple in exile.

Leading up to highly anticipated exclusive, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been trashed across the pond for a long list of sins: Once again breaking the rule of Thou Shalt Not Speak; spilling their discontent about the royal family while its patriarch is ailing in the hospital; and, of course, going Hollywood when their duty is back home.

But the real object of anger remains the American divorcee they blame for romancing the Spare away.

Ever since she dared to wed the dashing duke, Meghan has been pilloried by the toxic British tabloids — how dare a biracial American TV actress think she could take her place in the royal family?

BLIZZARD: Meghan & Harry interview sets the stage for a Royal rumble

But it was eagerly fanned by whispering royal aides threatened by a strong, independent woman of colour who refused to submit silently to the traditional royal machine.

So while the British media waged its merciless character assassination, Buckingham Palace left her to fend for herself.

The tabloid scrutiny was, and still is, relentless — nothing sells like another Meghan story. Nothing is off limits, not even a deeply personal letter she’d sent her father with handwriting experts brought in to weigh in on her tell-tale “narcissism.”

Yet a royal who truly deserves the barrage of abuse heaped on Meghan remains safely ensconced within the bosom of The Firm. No palace courtiers are busy leaking gossip about Prince Andrew, an accused pedophile who refuses to speak to the FBI.

Instead, they snipe about Meghan sharing her miscarriage heartbreak as a publicity stunt. No wonder she and her protective husband walked away from it all last year.

Now, just days before broadcast of the big Oprah interview where the Sussexes explain their controversial decision for the first time, the Palace decides to announce an investigation into allegations by former staff that Meghan bullied them — three years ago.

Before her blind date with a Prince on July 1, 2016, Meghan was best known for her part in the Toronto-filmed series Suits. Patrick Adams came out Friday with an impassioned defence of his former co-star, describing her as a kind, powerful woman with a deep sense of morality and fierce work ethic.

“It sickened me to read the endless racist, slanderous, clickbaiting vitriol spewed in her direction from all manner of media across the UK and the world but I also knew that Meghan was stronger than people realized or understood and they would regret underestimating her,” he wrote.

“It’s OBSCENE that the Royal Family, who’s newest member is currently GROWING INSIDE OF HER, is promoting and amplifying accusations of ‘bullying’ against a woman who herself was basically forced to flea (sic) the UK in order protect her family and her own mental health.”

Meghan and Harry want to tell their side of the story — just as Harry’s mother tried to do back in 1995. For that protocol-breaking tell-all TV interview, Princess Diana would be cut off by the royal family and hounded to her grave.

The Firm won that battle. We can only hope this one ends differently.

Harry and Meghan say relentless negativity forced them out...yet these pages prove the

Few things exemplify Britishness more than dear old Marks & Spencer. So when, in May 2018, the Windsor branch changed its name to 'Markle and Sparkle' in honour of the marriage of Harry Windsor to Meghan Markle, it felt like the ultimate stamp of approval. Swept away by the giddy excitement of a royal wedding - and not just any royal wedding, the marriage of Princess Diana's younger son, that brave little soldier who carved his name on all our hearts the day he walked behind his mother's coffin just aged 12 -we were as entranced by Meghan as Harry clearly was. It wasn't just that she was gorgeous, there was also far more to her than most royal fiancees. She had a backstory that wasn't all pony clubs and boarding schools. Here was a woman who had worked hard to forge a career and a name for herself, who understood what it meant to overcome adversity. She was talented, with a successful acting career behind her; but above all else she was strong - and that was reassuring. Despite his stint in the Army, there was still a degree of vulnerability to Harry. The headlines that welcomed their union so enthusiastically (right and inset) have slowly soured, as the couple's behaviour has grown ever more paranoid and self-destructive.

Abigail Spencer and Jessica Mulroney have joined the chorus of people defending the Duchess Of Sussex, after she was accused of bullying in an explosive report.

Just hours after Meghan’s on-screen Suits husband Patrick J. Adams spoke out in defence of his former co-star, Abigail – who also starred with the duchess in the U.S. TV show – shared a lengthy essay about her long-running friendship with the actress-turned-royal.

“I am extremely private about my friendship with Meg,” Abigail told her followers. “I’m not here to tell you her story. That’s for her. So why am I writing this now? I felt drawn – in all this melee, with all the untruths swirling around – to present something real. From a real friend. About a real friend. There are some people who are so bright and exude such deep purpose that they change the molecules in the air simply through their being. She was all of this from the moment I met her fourteen years ago. And remains so to this day.”

Abigail credited Meghan for being there for her in her “darkest days”, such as when her father died, and paid tribute to her and husband Prince Harry for “dedicating their lives to lifting up and amplifying those who do not have a voice for themselves”.

Meanwhile, fashion stylist Mulroney – one of Meghan’s oldest friends – shared a picture of herself and the Duchess on Instagram, and wrote alongside it: “I don’t know that anyone has ever had to deal with the pressure, the politics and the press like this woman. In the face of it all, I have never seen her waver from kindness, empathy and love.”

Meghan is currently expecting her second child with Prince Harry, and TV personality and model Chrissy Teigen urged people to think about her unborn baby when criticizing her – for fear the stress of the accusations and pressure may lead to a pregnancy loss.

“This Meghan Markle s— is hitting too close to home for me,” Chrissy, who was left devastated following the miscarriage of her son Jack in October, tweeted. “These people won’t stop until she miscarries. F—ing stop it.”

It’s the second time that Chrissy, who doesn’t know Meghan personally, has spoken out in defence of the royal.

A representative for the Duchess said she was “saddened” by the claims that she mistreated aides at their former Kensington Palace home, allegedly driving two members of staff out of the household, while she is said to have undermined the confidence of a third.

Buckingham Palace has since launched an investigation into the allegations.

If Meghan didn't want that she shouldn't have married into the Royal Family. What did she expect?

And, of course, the British press were always nice to her and Harry. The press fawned over them. It'ss only when they started acting the goat that the press turned against them.
