Now, being white.. it didn't effect me as much.. but my friends who are Hispanic and Black.. we talk openly and share the differences between Canada and the USA.
Canada is not immune to this bigotry, every time I hear the term "New Canadian" used by someone here in Canada, in reference to East Indians and others..

I'd love to hear what other people think is a more convincing word in that context, and if it wasn't a racial epithet that he was about to blurt, then why he wouldn't do like all public speakers and re-state the fumbled word to continue what he was saying.
Or phonetically, thousands of other sounds. Either way, they don't make any sense after 'government'. It was a tongue-locked brain fart but there's no changing a hatter's mind if that's what they say happened. :lol:
