Not that it had to be a noun, but you can sort out the nouns yourself...

So out of that list of words, which ones fit the context in this quote: "We know what the candidate Barack Obama was like; the Anti-war- government nig..." etc.?

Especially when he's already spoke many things that imply bigotry. Like rape pregnancy being a gift, for instance.

Good question...

Niggling would work.

nig·gling
[nig-ling]
Show IPA
adjective
1. petty; trivial; inconsequential: to quibble about a niggling difference in terminology.
2. demanding too much care, attention, time, etc.: niggling chores about the house.

And just because the "racism" card is hugely overplayed doesn't mean it is in every instance.

That word would work, yes. To differentiate, we'd have to look around and see if Santorum has made bigoted comments about any other group. Basically, I am saying a preponderance of circumstantial evidence is pretty damning.

But not conclusive.

Given the environment he's in, I would even consider using niggling either, lol.

You just know someone will take it out of context.

This is another one of those did he say it things, yes he meant to say it and checked himself
but not in time. He does not look good for this one because he is not fast on his feet and that
is his problem. Many years ago we had a case of did Trudeau say the F word or not.
Now Pierre he was quick he denied what he said replacing it with Fuddle Duddle remember
that. If you see the original news clip he did not say Fuddle Duddle but Fuddle Duddle it was.
Snatorum like it or not he is going to wear this one.
I believe sometimes when we say things off the cuff we are expressing our true feelings it also
applies when we are drunk. Yes I have no doubt he intended to say the unforgivable word in
the eyes of society. The next chapter of this will be written by the events of the next few weeks.
It should also be pointed out that if the American politicians put away rhetoric and self interest
they could do a lot to help the American people both societally and economically. Instead they
are content to call each other names and go to the point of fighting over what names they
called each other. Is there any wonder why the people will all be called Bankrupt, in the near
future?
Who's fault is that is not even the question because the answer is simple. Oh we can say its
the Bush Republicans, or Obama, that is not the real answer. Bush facilitated the ability for
every greedy person to take more than their share and pile up debt to the point where the
nations economy is not sustainable. The banks actually finished them off with poor and fraudulent
lending practices. Perhaps these are the issues that should be addressed instead of who called
who what.
Makes me so glad I don't live there, Harper the sinister little man that he is, is not in the same
league with those folks to the south of us.
