I heard on the radio today that congregational populations of churches is still going down. Maybe people are discovering that they don't have to "belong" to be faithful. Or maybe we're all just becoming more evil. Bwaaahahahahahahahahaaa :evil1:

Maybe if they'd learn that making people feel bad about themselves isn't a great sales pitch any more....

In Germany, percentage attending Sunday services:
In the east, 2%
In the west, 8%

Do any of these polls take into consideration religions other than Christianity? Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Sikhs or traditional Amerindians attending sweat lodges? I think you will find that the numbers of atheists are low also because the line between agnostic and atheism is blurred in most people's mind. You will also find that there are more and more people with no affiliation to any religion who still have a spiritual outlook. Some people just don't need the political and social structures of religion to believe.

Cheers Cliffy ..Gotta Believe in something other than / Bigger than ones self ..Gotta have faith in the future..Someday perhaps we'll earn our wings , leave the nest , mama earth's embrace.. and go explore the universe ...Hang with Big Papa G ...And still come home to visit ma for supper..Big G works away alot ..But it's still a close knit family .......;-):smile:
