556 fires currently burning BC.

50 of them "of note" - which we used to call "beyond resources"

3,500 people working on it.

Where did I say no mention of boreal. Quote me.
If the tundra is deep and vast why not use some tunneling machines and put the pipelines a few 100 ft down. Add some cooling coils to refreeze everything in the winter and it should never wear out, maybe even line the pipe with asbestos.

Adaptation is man's greatest survival skill. If you see a flash flood coming at you and you don't step aside that is not called adapting.
The jobs lost now are replaced by 3x as many when things are up and running. Lean a new skill or become landfill. Stream reclamation so the other streams are brought up to the same standards as the ones with the right of way.
The condition of the lakes around Prince George show big biz does prefer to poison a whole lake rather than cut the profits the shareholders demand. (for the ones that think Texaco in the Amazon was a lone event. It is why Texaco changed their name) Put that on a list of places that are used to develop new ways to clean up messes associated with oil transportation in particular and related sites in general. The ones best suited to finding a solution are the protestors, just split off a bit for research as that isn't even done to date. Buoys with a wing mill on top and some high tech water filters and a decade might show the water is cleaner.

Excellent. Renewal is great as long as nobody is hurt or loses their homes and businesses.
Does the burnt out owners have to pay for the carbon the fire put into the air?

There are only 4 protesters (and maybe 6) at any one time. The ones who are responsible for the protest are at home living their lives. The ones who are actually at the site are homeless! The hypocrisy continues....

Just checked Bing for '2018 fires burning in Mexico'..........not one single hit - not one. Did get hits for New Mexico. Somehow you managed to get Calif, Oregon and Washington right. And therein lies a lesson for you, Hoidie dear............make damn sure that what you are writing about is correct. Got that, Hoidie????

Mexico/California/Oregon/Washington/BC

Oh FFS...................ON THE WEST COAST OF THE UNITED STATES!

Missed the title that says forests as in all of them?

It's time to rethink forest management and focus on fire breaks, controlled burns and building codes that demand steel or tile roofing.
Actually we are already doinG that , fires nowadays aregenerally allowed to burn and are mostly contained in populated areas . That is why we have so much more atmospheric smoke in recent years .

1,800 wild fires so far this year.

The vast majority are allowed to burn themselves out.

What's that Berman woman's name? I think it starts with a "Z". She's one of the biggest idiots going! Did she ever hold a job? :) :)

It's disgusting beyond words!

Tezporah Bergman. Paid activist in the Clayquat Protests dissapeared for a wile and last I heard she was working for the Alberta dippers.

You have to be kidding! That is perhaps the one right thing he's done in 3 years, let's get our resources rolling, our people employed and a little revenue to run the country.

Cliffs don't need no job. He got welfare.

Why? Because talking to you is like talking to a child?

You are a child

the entire Pacific coast is on fire you ****ing idiot.

ROFLMFAO.fukk are you stupid. You got no idea how big this coast is.
Many of those fires were caused by people as stupid as you. Nothing to do with your goofy climate change religion.

I spent a good part of my week at the Quinsam fire base working with rapttack teams who are out there every day risking their lives - so maybe you'll understand when I tell you I have little time or interest in listening to your drivel.

Oh cool a school outing in summer. Did they let you play with the siren?

And you weren't conscripted to fight fire, and your not in jail for refusing? Strange

Doesn't happen any more. Even loggers are not supposed to fight a fire unless they have SP 100 . Kids like hoid that ride the short bus would never be allowed near the action .

A lot cooler this morning on the Island. A lot clearer too. Some gusty wind has helped, but it might have hurt too.

Too bad you were not on the island to see what it is really like.

People are being hurt and losing their homes and businesses.

Blame the anti logging crowd. Clear cuts Logging and slash burning approximates nature.

Mexico/California/Oregon/Washington/BC

Probably the worst season ever on the west Coast.

Explains why there is over 100 Mexican firefighters in BC. Obviously their fires are too big, requiring too much work to put out so they came here where firefighting is easier.

Its a stupid stupid goofy world for the deniers

No one ever denied you are stupid.
