1 eye on the others watching American Health care

1 eye on the others watching American health care

With no public Health care option ..(Under this newBaucus "backus") bill .The weak and poor will be fined and forgotten ..It's sad political B.S....It sickens me to watch this issue unfold anymore .

The abuse tax paying slave drones have to go through in America, is unconscionable /unbearable /disheartning/disgusting .It's not only a sham but a shame .. Does America/your communitee /your neighbour care about you and yours in times of hardship ,when you need their assistance the most?..For better or worse ?

Does Uncle sam want you !? ...Apparently Only if your rich, healthy and have the $$$$ to pay for it...Otherwise you'll be fined and left to suffer out on the street ,ignored ,washed away into the gutter ,where others will eventually ,unknowingly, drink and share, in the illness of your accumulated misfortune..

How could one want to live in such a self absorbed culture ...It is unsustainable /unimaginable to me....All will suffer for their non-compassionate , self centeredness ... Should be ashamed U.S. politicians/ republican capitalists/ blind folded followers..Swallow your pride americans and give health care to all..It is the right thing to do..For the betterment of all/America as a whole.....
Drop the commi/socialism B.S..I thought all lived in a democracy in America ..I can see clearly now that this is not the case.

America is for the privileged/greedy/self serving few who will take, but will not give ..Proudly they hold themselves high ..Lifted and bolstered up by standing on the heads of the poor, lost and forgotten.. ...!...

I thought you were different Obama ..Get a back bone buddy and Lead.Stand for what you believe in.. Give a voice to those who can not be heard .That's what you were elected to do.!..

Many great empires have fallen due to disease/famine /poverty ..Let history be your conscience..So we all can have faith/prosper into the future...I am passionate about health care for all(as you can tell)...I will never change my stance on health care for all.!..A public heatlh care plan has been tried , tested and found to be the best system for all .. ..It is the only true solution .

There is no middle ground ,on health care, without a public plan ... Only high ground and rising flood waters ...Only with life boats, preservers and a plan can most/All be saved!.

Peace...

How can anyone believe that a new National Health Care plan will mean better care. Just look how the goverment raped and pillaged Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. Why should we want to give them another source of income to steal from. To those who know what has happened to Social Security. Medicare and Medicaid which are goverment funded and run welfare & health care systems and still support National Health care, you must be crazy.

(Swine) Vaccine will be free.

It was in 1974, ironsides, during the last Swine Flu outbreak. Ford was the president at that time; he pointedly took the vaccine on television. Then he offered it for free to everybody living in USA (not just citizens, but everybody). We were living in USA at that time.

As it turned out, it was a big flop; Swine Flu was only mild and sporadic. But USA did take precautions even in those days. So I assume this time also the vaccine will be free.

Nothins free ...And there will be 2 vaccines this year..1 for H1n1 and 1 for the common flu...Who knows what happens when the 2 mix and mututate..Or how to tell one from the other without a test ...test results won't be in until next year..Left over vaccines will be re-labeled and re-used next year...It's all B.S..for a mild strain..Let your immune system fight it...You'll be better off in the longer run for it..

I am only going to take the Swine Flu; I normally don’t take the flu vaccine. There probably will be two shots for Swine Flu, to be taken three weeks apart. The vaccine won't be available until November, in Canada.

Better safe than sorry, I had the shot back then, when nothing happened I stopped getting flu shots. Then in 2002 I came down with a severe flu, laid up for almost two weeks. Been getting flu shots ever since. they are talking about giving this H1N1 vaccine out free also.

I took it at that time because it was free. Since then I haven’t taken a flu shot (even though it is free here in Canada), never had the flu. But I intend to take the Swine Flu shot as soon as it becomes available. I am planning a couple of trips abroad in December and January, and it is better to be safe than sorry.

Well Sir joseph porter ,If your going abroad in Dec ...You might want to take the vaccine that country is offering .Our "Canadian" Vaccine may not work the same in say Britian ....It's all a bunch of B.S..to me..But each to their own belief...I don't let the fear of death run my life...But a flu can definetly alter your travel plans... Guess peace of mind can account for something..

Wonder if you were to get the Austrailian flu shot if it would work on our flu here...Unfortunately the results are always a year away...

I am not going to Britain, Greenfish. One trip I am planning is to India in December. Which is in doubt as of now, because of Swine Flu, it will depend upon whether I can get the Swine Flu shot before that.

The other one is in January, to Egypt. I am much more optimistic about that one; I should be able to get the Swine Flu vaccination before that.

I heard some doctors on a NYC talk show last night, one of them said that in Canada, acute cardiac surgery takes 3 to 6 weeks to get, and that if someone like Bill Clinton was Canadian, he would have died waiting for surgery.

What utter crap, it's too bad the discussion in the US is filled with such bizarre lies and distortions.

"See the August, 2008 DNC platform [op cit] which won the election for him and the Democrats."

And lied about ever since then.

Here is something I read the other day.

"Many years ago, as a small child, I was told one of those old-fashioned
fables for children. It was about a dog with a bone in his mouth, who was
walking on a log across a stream. The dog looked down into the water and saw
his reflection. He thought it was another dog with a bone in his mouth --
and it seemed to him that the other dog's bone was bigger than his. He
decided that he was going to take the other dog's bone away and opened his
mouth to attack. The result was that his own bone fell into the water and
was lost. At the time, I didn't like that story and wished they hadn't told
it to me. But the passing years and decades have made me realize how
important that story was, because it was not really about dogs but about
people. Today we are living in a time when the President of the United
States is telling us that he is going to help us take that other dog's bone
away -- and the end result is likely to be very much like what it was in
that children's fable. Whether we are supposed to take that bone away from
the doctors, the hospitals, the pharmaceutical companies or the insurance
companies, the net result is likely to be the same -- most of us will end up
with worse medical care than we have available today. We will have opened
our mouth and dropped a very big bone into the water."

Ironsides, ‘economist Thomas Sewell’? Surely you jest. Thomas Sewell is a well known right wing journalist, who writes regularly for the website, WorldNetDaily.

When it comes to politics or economic, Sewell is firmly out of the mainstream, way out on the right wing fringe. He is another Star Parker (whom you gleefully quoted on the other thread).

If you want to quote writings from right wing journalist as Gospel truth, that is your right, of course. But don’t be surprised if somebody points out that they indeed are right wing journalists, out of the mainstream.
