Really? About what? It is a rare occasion when this forum actually holds a discussion. I don't want to miss it.

The discussions about the actual topic and the repercussions of it. No posts have been removed due to personal attacking and it hasn't devolved into flame-wars. So yes, there is discussion being held in this thread.

Few people are discussing the message of her protest and are instead complaining about the method, which is almost by definition to whine about it. You're having a discussion about the most trivial aspect of this.

Delusional!!!!!

No one....I mean NO ONE that I have read has called for her to be punished in any way.....besides the satisfaction of her losing the job that was done in three weeks anyway.

Oh, besides me, I said "she needs a good kick in the arse" I meant metaphorically, of course, but even if taken literally....is hardly "beheading".

HEAT?????? Oh gimme a break! This little twit only managed to gain this much attention because of the priviledge of a job in the Senate......a trust that she scorned when she shat upon the democratic process, during a ceremony that is one of the pillars of HER freedom and our democracy....the Speech from the Throne.

Gutsy??? Well yeah, often self-obsessed Drama Queens have to be "out there" to get the attention so essential to there narcissism.......

Read this.....

Kelly McParland: Cancel the election results. Brigette DePape is not happy | Full Comment | National Post

Says it all.

Says the gun nut.

She exercised her rights right in the House before all the major networks, live and at one of the highest political functions in our country. She disagrees with the top minister and she made her voice heard. You can't even hope to have such an opportunity. Not that you would ever take one as you're one to take a good game and hand your rights over lock stock and barrel without a single whisper coming close to Ottawa.

Cost her her job but I expect she has offers in hand already. Simply because it isn't the gutless, weak and bent over usuals that figure protest is yelling at the tv when it says something they disagree with. Eh old yeller? lol

Besides, who said anyone has to agree with a vote of barely half the eligible voters? If it was Quebec separation you would be barking up and down here that it doesn't count.

So suck it up Colpy, she has the heart of a lion and you but a fart.

she didnt say anything that hasn't been said before, but my first post addressed her message. I think there is nothing more undemocratic than "stop Harper", she should have said "stop the budget" or something of that sort.

The sign didn't say ARRET/STOP like the signs in the National Park. That must be upsetting to the Francophones.

The message of her protest is that she doesn't like Harper.

BFD, half of this forum says the same thing.

There is a time and place for things, hers was inappropriate.

Inappropriate and yet appropriate.

Moore says we need more people like her to avoid parliament turning more American..

I suggest you snuff out the joint......

and read a little about the democratic process, and our history.

Not that I expect you to understand. As is very obvious from previous discussions, you wouldn't understand what a "right" is if it bit you on the arse, and your understanding of the structures of political freedom are on about a kindergarten level. (and I'm probably insulting my 6 year old grandchild)

I really don't resent what she did one thousandth as much as I resent the undeserved attention the little twirp has gotten........
a hero to the brain-dead, the politically challenged, the masses devoid of any understanding of democratic process or the importance of the process she so unthinkingly defiled.

And calling for an "Arab Spring"......so outrageous!!!! As people in the REAL "Arab Spring" die in a vain attempt to recognize a fraction of the priviledge and the freedom she enjoys.....just like our ancestors did in the rebellions and revolutions that made it necessary for the Monarchs to present their program to the representatives of the common people for approval.......in a process called the Speech from the Throne.

Now, I expect stupidity from a neophyte graduate with a degree in collective guilt and nanny-state hand-wringing......there is still hope that the Drama Queen will grow up to be embarrassed......

But the idiots that treat her like some kind of hero!

No hope for them.

Inappropriate and yet appropriate.

Michael Moore is a liar, and a con-man that has made millions from fools that actually swallow his BS and deception.....he laughs all the way to the bank, where he invests in Haliburton and defense stocks.

Spare me.

I hope this poor, deluded young lady stays well clear of that particular shark.

Why, when it's so much fun to watch you dance?

BTW, that was a wonderful load of hot air. Come back to the party when you've got some cigars.
