Minnesota: Gopher State
''gopher, the race card is usually called by your favorite heroes, who would be out of job if racism ever was eliminated: the poverty pimps, the most radical racists, the shake-down artists, the affirmative action nobodies, the liars and phony "reverends" Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.''

Racism is also used by the right wingers like Clarence Thomas and Michael Steele but that never bothers you when they say it. Furthermore, you said it was I who was going to call you racist when I did not. Your attacks on Obama are motivated by personal hate.

''And just to set the record straight: on this particular thread, it was you who blamed Sarah Palin for all the ills and misfortunes in Alaska, while I never blamed Obama for anything.''

All you ever do is to attack Obama but never show how he caused anything. Further, you never offer so much as one solution for the mess created by Bush.

As for Palin, while her state has more sexual assaults than just about any other it was she who said women should have to pay for their own rape kits. She was attacked by feminist groups and many others for making such an incredibly stupid statement. This may well have been the looniest thing she said during the campaign.

She won't win the Republican nomination. The Tea Party isn't really behind her like she thinks and the mainstream Republicans know she can't win.

I'm gonna step off the pier and wind up wet here but I think there are too many divergent beliefs to fit into two prominent parties - there has to be compromise and a split somewhere or the work of the people will
never be done - it will be a two sided competition regardless of "who is in power for the next four or eight years."

AND THE UNITED STATES CANNOT AFFORD IT.

Unless there is a centrist group willing to sit down, weed out the "wait until later issues" and address some of the urgent - particularly financial and world assistance issues - we are going to recede and fade and those who desire the downfall of the American power among nations will be the ultimate winners financially and with power.

We cannot continue to fund and empower and supply our own military to protect and uplift all the friends in our world - they are going to have to start learning to support themselves. I think we should abstain from belonging to groups such as the U.N. until we have reached a point where ALL Americans are returned
to a cohesive demonstration of financial stability once again - we cannot continue to befriend everyone - The U.S. should not be at the "instruction, or call of duty" to anyone but the people of the United States and its elected leaders.

I apologize if this seems to be defeatist but if you see a team losing its way - we are all familiar with that old wise tradition of back off, back out and regroup.

Palin is a fighter, has some great thoughts and ideas, and desperately loves her nation and I sincerely believe she would prefer it be united (as in UNITED STATES), however I believe she would be more useful in
another capacity than spokesperson on an international basis - her best abilities are within the nation itself
and homeland issues affecting the people of the nation.

I think your right, I have never seen so much division in my life, especially being so far apart in the political spectrum. Right now, I hope Palin does not run for President, it would create turmoil within the moderate ranks. As most can tell, I do not approve of Obama and his group of crooks doing what they are doing. There must be some out there who can put aside personal greed who would like to run the country. Hopefully some of these new senators and congressmen/women have that thought. I did not vote for any incumbent in the election and all my votes were winners. (lets see what they can do)

Thanks for affirmation - I was a bit shakey to put up something as radical as I suggested - I think Palin has some innovative ideas and she certainly has an unquestionable love of our nation and its people on both sides of the political spectrum - but as a leader I think she would be so battered by objectors she would not have
the freedom nor the time to do the work she seems to be best at: Motivating the People. Even those who disagree with her ideas are spurred into creating new ideas themselves - we've all become participants instead of onlookers.

I agree with the newcomers and fresh "meat on the table" idea you had - some of my votes were done in complete ignorance of the candidate but I had to go with my heart this time not my "head"....not that my head was ever good at politics either.

I hope we will always have "Palin"-like people in our midst who breeze onto the stage with some wild-eyed new thoughts and challenges and whip us all into a frenzy as this lady has done - right or wrong she inspires thought, anger, love, and desire for change as well as being involved as a member of the public...for the
first time I felt part of the power of the vote - not just a person "doing my
duty".

I don't care how we pull the nation our of this muck we've found ourselves in, but if some of the new crew can come up with a few good ideas, I don't care what party they
represent - only that the change is positive and we can get it done - preferably by
bi-partisan agreement for a change instead of wasting months fight over a few words
in reams of pages of blah blah blah.

Mainstream Republicans know that they cannot win with her. Look at Sharon Angle in Nevada who was quiet similar. Harry Reid deserved to lose but she was just too nutty. My money is on Huckabee.

I would like to see either Marco Rubio or Allen West run for President, do not like seeing religious issues being brought for or against anyone.

I have decided that I am going to change my partisan affiliation to Republican just so that I can vote for Sarah Palin in the Republican Presidential primaries.

I really want to see a Palin vs. Obama match.

For the sake of the party, Obama may not run, then what?
