The problem is when we borrow money into existence, but the interest charged does not get created, it magically must be born of that principle that was created by the creation of that debt in the first place, but no, in reality, as any dope dealing, gun running, money laundering illegal mafia boss will tell you:
If you borrow from him, as we do, and have to pay back MORE then there actually is,
there will always be a shortfall .
No matter how much taxation there is, all that taxation does is fund the crooks who are skimming off the top
It's called a haircut

the free trade thing bullrooney did was a haircut on a bald head with a big fat side of stabintheback
...and what a good little mob barber he was...

A haircut is one thing, this being shaved bald is a whole different matter.

I showed the math that says your wrong. Look it up.

It is irrefutable.

Those are mostly exempt.
Your math is defective. Go ask someone that knows a bit about taxation.

Try using gas as your test to see who is getting shafted the hardest as a % of income.

If you end with the rich, you do not know how to do math,

That's funny; when I pointed out that poor people have to buy food, on which there is no GST, you said that it doesn't matter what the tax applies to.

Now youre commenting on what's exempt.

My point is, poor people will spend a higher proportion of their income on food, so they will pay a lower proportion of GST. You do the math, I'm sure you can find someone to help you push the buttons.

As well as the fact that the poor receive a government cheque every three months to cover their GST contributions,

If you only stick to one tax free item to make your point, when talking about tax, you fail.

Tax Research UK » Why VAT is regressive

"As the Tax Research briefing argues, a regressive tax is almost universally agreed to be one where the proportion of an individual’s income expended on that tax falls as they progress up the income scale. VAT is a regressive tax.

This is not rocket science.

That is all fine when dealing with the really poor but if you do the calculation for two taxpayers who are above that poverty threshold, leys say a guy that makes $30,000 as compared to the guy that makes $50,000, you will see that the higher income pays less tax than the lower income.

That is why it is a regressive tax.

You show how little of a mind you have.

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. Eleanor Roosevelt

Maybe people are partly to blame for that. I think we demanded fewer services back in the old days.

I disagree.

I think we just did not put up with immorality as easily as we do today.
