Between the two of you, you both compiled plenty of evidence to not trust any politician with anything.

Have a nice day.

Actually last election I voted NDP, as both the Conservatives and Liberals were unacceptable. since the next election is quite a while off I don't know yet if I will vote Liberal or NDP.

When you have a majority government and enough support to get re-elected there is no need to have a hidden agenda. I think he's been pretty open with his plans for awhile now.

It's not even his Agenda, tr!mming the fat and investing in ourselves along with foreign investment heavily into finally developing western Canada after 146 years isn't new. Canadian eggs are being spread across the basket from coast to coast to coast instead of all in ON and PQ

This all kicked off years ago, and it's not a partisan Agenda.

Harper is a toadie of the Global Investment Organism.. a apparatchnik for a radical deconstruction of the nation state.. and implementation of unrestricted Free Trade, monetarism (commodification and free markets in currency and credit), privatization and de-regulation (especially of financial markets). He's not the first.. both Mulroney and Chretien were gangsters in the same plot.

He's completey oblivious to common sense and reality.. being a fanatic Free Market and libertarian ideologue. So even the disaster that's unfolding in Europe.. which is now confiscating private bank accounts (in Cyprus) in a futile attemmpt to patch up the sinking economy.. won't have any effect on him.

He's just a guy who kissed the right butt.. and doesn't have the brains or the character for the job he's in.

Your continued support of our outstanding PM is much appreciated.

Both are important...........as the saying goes ' you can't have one without the other'. You can't run a country and provide for its people without having the necessary funds to do so.
They're running a country? The way Harper preaches on investments and economies (read banking economy) he really doesn't seem to give a damn how those of us who live hand-to-mouth get on - unless we can be fodder for one of his jails (prisons, sorry nit-pickers)

To me, he's more CEO than Prime Minister

Oh brother - here we go again! He can't win for losin'. There were those who were admament that he was going to open the abortion debate as one of his "hidden agenda's" and curtail the availability - oooohhh, just wait - he's gonna make abortions illegal. Then, when some of his co-horts want to simply CONDEM the action of those who abort because of gender and he clamps down on them, he's being undemocratic! What the hell do people want??

Personally, I am against late term abortions and abortion due to gender selection should be condemed! Harper hasn't brought up those issues at ALL. So much for a "hidden agenda."

Unbelievable!!

Toronto - It should not be a surprise to the Harper government that most Canadians think that Prime Minister Stephen Harper has a hidden agenda.

Proof smear campaigns works.

Playing cards close to one's chest while carpet-bombing with omnibus legislation does little to con me into believing the guy's ever been upfront with anything.

I don't think this government is transparent, which is very different from saying they have a hidden agenda by the way. But I don't think that the last Liberal government was all that transparent either. Lack of transparency has nothing to do with the party, it's with the system of government itself. I don't mean that they should be spilling state secrets but for crying out loud, I and every other taxpayer has a right to now where the money goes. Especially when it comes to how they conduct their affairs. I'm tired of hearing about this spending scandal and that spending issue, and oh, by the way, they're very sorry and will pay the money back. Because what I end up wondering is, if this is the stuff we're hearing about, that get's leaked to the media, what isn't getting leaked to the media?

Well, the Chretienistas were claiming Manning and the Reformers had a hidden agenda 20 years ago, and its been a constant refrain of the Liberals and NDP ever since, so its small wonder that their supporters wouldn't believe that after so many years of the same kool-aid.
