No worries, I wouldn't go to the Burger Joint you work at...

Actually its easier for someone to spit on your food at a 5 star restaurant than a fast food restaurant.... there is less supervision at hotels and restaurants ;)
Hauled to the warehouse a few times. Never worked in one. What's it like?

In order to get value, you need revenue, if you spend like there is no tomorrow, you don't have any revenue, which leads back to cost.

How do you measure revenue from a....visit to the doctor? There's definite value to having a healthy workforce. How do you measure the revenue of the benefit provided? If the visit prolongs someone's life, how much will they contribute to tax revenue over the extra time alive? How much productiveity is lost for future illness? How much did they save if the vist prevented future illness?

Revenue is one small part of the value...

It feels like ranting now because I've said it so often, I'd like to see independent (e.g. Parliamentary Budget Office) cost-benefits analysis whenever the government spends my money in some new form or rate, and on-going analysis of current programs. Problem is, it's hard for the government or opposition to argue against proper analysis. Cuts both ways. They really don't want us to know.

Clearly the truth doesn't matter to Cons.

It's okay, they didn't need the Ontario vote anyway.

That was such a sad article... My heart skipped a beat, it was so sad.

I wonder if in the follow-up piece that they do, if the author will look at the jurisdictions that historically have received equalization payments and analyze the appropriateness of their expenditures?... Who knows, that may even shed some light on why these same provinces can offer select subsidies that are far below the national average in a number of areas.

Provincial politics and Fed politics are night and day. Expecting sentiment from Provincial to reflect Federal or vice versa is far from the norm
