We'll have the last laugh by the end of the Commonwealth Games (yes, it's the Commonwealth's Olympics this summer, don't forget), when we (England, not Great Britain) will finish higher than Canada in the medals table due to there not being many sports on ice for the Canadians to play in that event.

Ah what a gracious loser you are Blackleaf.........thanks so much for congratulating our guys on beating Murdoch so soundly.

BTW there are the Olympics and then there are the Commonwealth games - two very different events just as the Worlds are different from the former too.

oh wow thanks

You are most welcome, Bart. I have a feeling that the US is going to be cheering loudly for the Swedes tomorrow.

Once you fail at the Commonwealth games (invented by Canadians I might remind you), what will be next?.... Predictions of winning results at the county pie eating contest... 3-legged race perhaps?

I am guessing that you really are stinging that the Canadian men ran you GBR team literally off the ice... Think about it man; your boys were too ashamed to even finish the contest.

FYI - That is the first time in history that a team has disgraced themselves so badly that they forfeit an olympic match 1/2 way through.

Shamed and disgraced is the only way to put it

Oh well, we shouldn't be surprised I guess. Any nation that has had to depend on others to save their bacon in 2 WW's and whose pride is founded in a pretend navy can not be expected to excel at anything.

Oooh nasty...........but absolutely spot on! Actually Cap, they were in the 8th end when GB graciously conceded the match.

Oh geez Bart the Fins just got another one - three straight PP goals. 5 to zip now.

Oh I doubt the US hates Canada as much as if it was the woman's hockey. I think the US men have more respect and appreciation then that.

I was only half serious, Bart considering many of these guys are after all, teammates back home. Man these Fins are something to behold.

finland have a good hockey team, they have won medals in 3 straight olympics now i think.

sallane had 2 goals. when the game got to 2 zip, the u.s. changed its manner, became rather

pouty, and the team didn't stay patient, quick lost some of his magic, patrick kane missed two
penalty shots, and that was that, no looking back for the fins.

congrats to the fins.
