Poor analogy, Walter. Winning is one of many aspects of sports for 7 year olds. You daughter was a winner too because she got exercise, she gained experience at the sport, she gained experience at interacting with other kids and she gained experience at learning that losing is part of it too.
What a pile of crap.

It was so depressing to see the USA lose twice to Canada in puck. But they were good games won fair & square.

We'll see you in the soccer World Cup ....

:)

I don't know what happened to the US women's (hockey) team... It's not as if they self destructed or anything.

Although I was extremely happy that the Canadian women won, my heart really broke for the US women's team

You are a real piece of work aren't you? Thought it was a fairly valid question. A.H. -:)

O.K. I was thinking since it was Lu who won the 2010 game, to deny him the chance this time might be taken as "a kick in the teeth".

babcock will want to take the straitest line to 'winning', and he won't be thinking of any favours
or personal fairness to anyone, only what is best for the team.
if luongo is in the nets on sunday morning, it will be because something
is wrong with price.

It doesn't work like that. You don't put a cold goalie in just because he didn't lose a game 4 years ago.

That kind of respect counts for a little bit when deciding who to start the tournament with, but once one guy has established himself as the starter and things are going well, you don't mess with that.

Hopefully that works out.

You mean you were serious?

It ain't rocket science. We know Lu can win a gold, we're not sure about Price. Lu did nothing in 2010 to raise doubts and since then his play has improved. I would personally go with Lu.

You may very well be the only person on the planet that thinks Luongo should even be considered. Even Luongo would know in his heart that Price should start.

He has the credentials to which you are obviously blind as with most things!

yes, both goalies have the credentials, and we must remember smith, who hasn't played a period in this
tournament, he is a fine goalie too.

no jlm, babcock should not change goalies at this point, that would be toying with the consistency and
the winning by this team, luongo would be confused if he was put in tomorrow, he wouldn't understand
why babcock made the change, it isn't the norm, and in a position like this, keep going along the
road that has brought you here, don't deviate.
if something happens to price, luongo is right there to step in, and keep it going.

Lol, this is crazy talk.

You even consider Luongo because he let in two goals against team USA 4 years ago over the goalie who just put up a shutout against team USA today?

Hey- I have no problem with Price, I just haven't followed him that much, while I know Lu is a super goalie which fits in with my philosophy of "going with the Devil you know over one you don't". What I do have a problem with is some smart A$$ who is too stupid to know there are no dumb questions and has to ridicule anything contrary to his thinking.

I note the lack of any mention of PK S*bb*n.
