"20 points" for knowing the first letter of your name. He did win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Learn what a filibuster is before saying it happened. The Health Bill did have one, but Wall Street reform and your ever popular gay rights did not. Just because a few senators oppose something does not mean there was a filibuster. Filibuster is used as a last ditch effort to thwart a bill, and used carefully at that. As for the Health Care plan, it still has some hurdles to overcome, one big one is how will it be supported.
Wall Street Reform - Even Paul Volcker does not know how it will play out exactly - so that is a wait and see. To claim success is like being part pregnant.
Foreign Policy - Left Great Britian out alone on the Falklands - Way to go
Richard Head said:Are you saying Obama did that? Do you know when Falklands war was fought? It seems to me that is just a bit of junk you picked up from some far right website.
Dear Dear Sir Joseph
Appreciate your many ideas presented here - but as to your responses on this topic I have to write:
"You've just gotta live it to understand."
It's a disaster - the man is unqualified and as many believe was never eligible but I won't even go near that one.
I didn't see anyone saying anything about the Falklands war. Just about the Falklands. Perhaps you haven't been following the news for the last few months.
Here is tha reform your talking about.
Wall Street reform calls for 68 new studies
Jennifer Liberto, senior writer, On Tuesday July 6, 2010, 8:38 am
In Washington, there's a code phrase for the middle ground that lawmakers find after a torrent of industry lobbying or partisan debate: "Let's do a study."
The Wall Street reform bill may be the most extreme example: The legislation, which could become law later this month, orders government officials to conduct some 68 studies, according to a CNNMoney analysis.
Instead of toughening up ethical and marketing standards for financial planners, Congress studies the issue in the financial overhaul bill. Instead of making it easier to sue lawyers, accountants and bankers who help commit securities fraud, Congress studies the issue.

It might get Obama another international prize, fo nothing.
Can't argue your words Sir Joseph
He will be given his due time as he was elected to spend, but it is already at a terrible cost of many ignored issues he doesn't seem to recognized as "top of the heap" preferring to choose the more public relations' style of getting things "done".
I understand even to campaign for a presidency must command a full-fledged well schooled intelligent individual who is certain he/she has all the answers, but there is another step only a wise President must take - and that is to check out other sources before making decisions. He seems to prefer the dictatorial modality which is not working for him.
He actually frightens me as to what will be left when he finally turns off the lights in the Oval.
SJPFalklands has been a British project, never an American one. During the Falklands war, USA did not take sides between Britain and Argentina, it stayed neutral. USA has never supported Britain on Falklands in the past, why should it start now?
SJP
Do some research on US support to the Brits prior to during and after the Falklands War- You are wrong.
Falklands War 1982 - early diplomatic events
Officially Reagan may have supported Britain. However, I remember Secretary of State Alexander Haig saying something like, “Falklands was a boil on the face of South America and it was about time somebody lanced it”. Something to that effect.
USA was trying to play both the sides. Especially after Britain torpedoed ‘General Belgrano’, the US attitude towards Britain cooled considerably. Argentina torpedoed HMS Sheffield in response.
Also, while Reagan promised aid to Britain and imposed sanctions against Argentina (the sanctions were meaningless), I don’t recall USA actually giving Britain any aid. And Haig’s comments about lancing the boil caused outrage in Britain (I was living in Britain at that time).
Sir Joseph
I turned on the news and Fox was on - this was one of their stories this morning - no doubt any other alphabet network will have it on and rebroadcast for you into Canada as well.
FOXNews.com - NASA Chief: Next Frontier Better Relations With Muslim World
This is the kind of ballet dancer thinking (I love you - you love me) Obama's indulges in - it is fine for a human rights specialist and I agree with it - but not when you have a Space Station which is "astronomical" in potential and has cost "astronomical financial expenditure"...and he wants to operate like a Boy Scout Camp to befriend Muslims?
It's just too weird to believe Sir Joseph - like I said before - You just have to live under it....
