Romney and Ryan are in full scale political prostitution over this event. Predictable yet so phoney.

Folks seem to have forgotten what it was like when Mr. Bush was Pres.

I remember clearly. It started with an election decided by his brother. Continued into the only successful attack on American soil since Pearl Harbour and 2 illegal and very expensive wars and ended with the biggest financial meltdown since 1929.

Did I miss anything?

Further, illegal wars? Need I remind you of this?

Chris Christie slaps around Fox & Friends for politicizing Hurricane Sandy

During an interview with New Jersey governor Chris Christie, the cast of Fox & Friends tried to turn the tragedy Hurricane Sandy to talk of Romney. Christie would have none of it (at 2:09 mark).

“Over the last couple of months, you have appeared throughout the country, Governor, on behalf of Mitt Romney,” Doocy remarked to Christie. “[W]e hear that perhaps Mr. Romney may do some storm-related events. Is there any possibility that Gov. Romney may go to New Jersey to tour some of the damage with you?”

Christie: “I have no idea, nor am I the least bit concerned or interested,” Christie replied, immediately shutting down the idea.

“I’ve got a job to do here in New Jersey that’s much bigger than presidential politics and I could [sic] care less about any of that stuff. I've got 2.4 million people out of power. I've got devastation on the shore. I've got floods in the northern part of my state. If you think right now I give a damn about presidential politics than you don't know me."

Christie knows the goPer Romney spin will not survive...and he is looking to 2016 for running as the very last critical thinking goPer.

FEMA, W.H. send storm victims to Internet

When President Barack Obama urged Americans under siege from Hurricane Sandy to stay inside and keep watch on ready.gov for the latest, he left out something pretty important — where to turn if the electricity goes out.

Despite the heightened expectation of widespread power and cable television failures, everyone from the president to local newscasters seem to expect the public to rely entirely on the Internet and their TVs for vital news and instructions.

None of the major cable or local news channels put emergency phone numbers or key radio station frequencies on their screens. The only phone-related instructions on the homepage of ready.gov is how to get monthly disaster-prep text messages. The Federal Emergency Management Agency told the public via Twitter to use texts and social media outlets to stay informed.

- DS ... You're right and tay is just being his usual blindly and mindlessly partisan lunatic left wing fringe self.

- Obviously with Christie speaking for Romney and as recently as three days ago making devastatingly accurate and embarrassing exposes of Obama's total lack of executive experience and competence tay's absurd claim that Christie thinks Romney is headed for certain defeat and wants to abandon his campaign is absolute BS.

- What Christie is doing is what every governor is supposed to do for his state and the people in his state and in this case that includes getting every available penny of federal money as quickly as possible into New Jersey to help with the relief and restoration mission. This requires a bit of sucking up to Obama who couldn't manage a one hole latrine but who is good at offering up other people's money to anybody who asks nicely and gives him due credit. Since this kind of a disaster relief operation is rightly a state repsonsibility, Obama fortunately won't have to actually do anything except pony up some federal money and Christie can do the heavy managerial lifting which is exactly what is happening. Of course as I alluded in my opening post of this thread, by the time the Chicago gang of mugs, thugs and slugs is through spinning the situation the morons who are supporting BO will believe that the president personally managed the relief effort and lifted every sandbad to shore up low lying areas. (Which, come to think of it, is appropriate because Obama has been sandbagging the American public for four years and knows about low lying as well!)

Obama On (Benghazi) Hurricane Sandy: “We Leave Nobody Behind”…

Unless of course they are under siege from al-Qaeda gunmen.
Via BreitbartTV:
Speaking at a photo opportunity at the American Red Cross on Tuesday, President Obama stated that in America, “we leave nobody behind.” This remark is seen as clumsy and perhaps insensitive considering the revelations that requests to assist two Navy SEALs trapped on the roof of the American consulate in Benghazi were denied, thus abandoning the heroic Americans to die at the hands of Al Qaeda.

Guess Republicans will have some house cleaning to do after the election

Is this not the Dept that Romney wants to terminate with extreme dumbness?

Chris Christie lauds Obama’s ‘outstanding’ Hurricane Sandy response | World | News | National Post

WASHINGTON — Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a fierce critic of Barack Obama, praised the president and the federal government’s response to the massive storm Sandy, which caused widespread damage and power outages along the East Coast.

Christie has attacked Obama repeatedly on the campaign trail and said the Democrat does not deserve a second term in the White House, instead backing Republican challenger Mitt Romney in the Nov. 6 election.

But just hours after the worst of the storm knocked out power for 2.4 million people in New Jersey, just south of New York City, Christie applauded Obama and the Federal Emergency Management Agency in interviews on major television networks.

If we can't hold our war criminals responsible for their crimes, then why should we expect our adversaries to do it?

Obama is doing his job with Hurricane Sandy. Republicans are playing politics with this disaster.

That's funny, because the Republican response to a hurricane is to do nothing for a couple of days until someone decides who will pay.

Oh, right, that was poor black folks, not rich white folks.

I have never put it down to that. I put it down to leadership, planning and feet on the ground. Not a fan of Bush the lesser but there was more at play than what you imply.

no crisis should be wasted and building them is more efficient than waiting, not that I think they made this one, but I do think it'll be squeezed to the last drop of love cuz disaster distracts way better than the average political theatre, how many abortions were prevented by god and his hurricaine?, how many LBGT people were left homeless? how many Iranians were in New York when the storm started?
