They all get crapped on. Some stay and some quit. He quit.Throw the proverbial book at him. Lock him up and melt the goddamn key. But do the same for the Republicans who do the same and worse. Otherwise, forget about it.

I think she's pretty, and I don't think I'd have the strength to do what she did, and stand up there beside him like that. The press conference, if I was the wife, would go something like....
"I am deeply sorry for all of the hurt and pain that I have caused this nation, my supporters, and most importantly, my family. Over the course of the next few months I have a lot of work to do in repairing my marriage, my car, my golf clubs, my favorite leather couch, my suits, all of my handmade fishing lures, the dresser I spent three months making with my own two hands, my pool table, my dart board, and all the other things I loved and cared about that my wife is currently home destroying. I am deeply grateful that she has chosen to stay by my side, and is allowing me one meal a day. Her kindness in removing only one of my testicles is, well, more than I ever could have expected. Using a sharp knife instead of the originally planned spoon, goes to show what a deeply compassionate and forgiving person she truly is. While I can't expect the people of this great nation, or you the members of the press, to ever respect or look upon me the same again, I hope you will help respect our family's right to heal in the months that are to follow, because I'm pretty sure she's going to break my knee caps when I get home. Thank you, and again, I am so very sorry. And so very scared."
See the sorry smile on his wife ?
Stupid woman ! Betrayed and " Standing by her man " no matter how many ****s there is.
Well good for her !
LOL !!!!!!!
Spitzer brought on all that sh*t on himself. But at least he resigned unlike Republican Vitter who remains in the Senate despite his history of trysts with gay male prostitutes.
It's f*cked up but that's the way it goes --- the continued inconsistant application of standards with Republicans going off scot free while Democrats get punished.
A note to the women reading this thread. If you don't give your man the things he needs, you too will suffer the fate of Eliot Spitzers wife. This has been a public service announcement.
EagleSmack said:BLAH BLAH BLAH...one of poor Gopher's boys got bagged. A hypocrit who spent his life busting prostitution rings and outing everyone in them as pervs. Tough ain't it?
Did you read my earlier post?
I said throw the book at him.
If you have any integrity at all, why don't you say the same for the dozens of Republicans who have done the same as he did?
EagleSmack said:You're the one who always yaps about the republicans who proclaim to be moral and turn around and pull this. Now you have a Dem that does it and you spin to make it a media biased attack. When GOP members do it they DO get treated worse. How can you say that when Barney Frank allows his gay lover to run a prostitution ring out of his apartment, or Gerry Studs gets bagged messing with 16 year old (boys) Capital Building pages and both remained in office. It does not get much worse than that.

Please, read the full story here:In his article Spitzer charged, "Not only did the Bush administration do nothing to protect consumers, it embarked on an aggressive and unprecedented campaign to prevent states from protecting their residents from the very problems to which he federal government was turning a blind eye." Bush, said Spitzer right in the headline, was the "Predator Lenders' Partner in Crime." The President, said Spitzer, was a fugitive from justice. And Spitzer was in Washington to launch a campaign to take on the Bush regime and the biggest financial powers on the planet. Spitzer wrote, "When history tells the story of the sub-prime lending crisis and recounts its devastating effects on the lives of so many innocent homeowners the Bush administration will not be judged favourably."
With that article, some Washington insiders believe, Spitzer signed his own political death warrant.
