I wish there was some way of testing that. It'd be neat to take a bingo blotter into the booth. :D

So where has our government encouraged us to use pencils?

Or are you just shooting from the hip again?

Try filling out your passport in pencil, see what happens.;-)

pencils are supplied in each polling booth.......if you wish your vote to stick, use a pen, it isnt spoiled, its still a valid vote

The pencil in plain sight is encouragement enough. The fact they had to specify it's okay to use a pen indicates the question has risen before - but they would still refer it marked with black lead pencil.

I did.
Our government doesnt encourage us to sign legal documents with pencils.
Look it up,you also have the world at your fingertips.

I bieleve you also need a witness if you can only use a mark instead of a signature.

In the third world countries, where many people are illiterate, you can put your thumbprint in place of the signature (thumbprint in ink, of course), that is considered legally valid.

It's nothing to get hung about.
Strawberry fields forever!"

It is all just a hologram. Once you get over that, it can be highly entertaining.
