Where? NL or BC? Why is NL oil from an offshore rig shipped by tanker from NL through Panama to Burnaby better than AB and SK oil shipped by pipe?

The post I was responding to was about the coast of B.C. - shipping out of Kitimat vs. shipping out of Vancouver. No mention of NL and besides my knowledge of NL would be too limited to respond knowledgably.

Enbridge as a company is a disgrace and should not be trusted.

How many transactions has Enbridge been involved in? How many disasters have they caused?

They have to clean up the radiation spill in the pacific first
before they even begin to think about oil

Easy on the lad, Capt. He's still an "apprentice". What gets me is in a world that can put people on the moon and is about to put them on Mars, can't move oil 5,000 miles safely. Methinks there's a "red herring" in there somewhere.

You do understand that being the PM of Canada isn't an entry level job position, right?

Is the north coast more precious than the south coast?

Dontcha know it is pristine. Never been a human set foot in the entire area.

Could just twist the pipe a bit and ship from Valdez. Guarantee not creating any jobs in BC and don't have to build a port.

Radiation spill in the Pacific? News to me! Does one preclude the other?

I think the dip**** is referring to Japan's little problem. A problem that would never hsve happened if they used safe, clean BC coal for power generation instead of nukes.

While the big companies shut down in the west over lower prices
the same big companies continue to purchase and sell cheap oil
from the Arabs while putting our folks out of work.
All they have to do is buy home produced oil and stop buying the
Arab oil. Don't give me the World Trade crap either as soon as the
agreements are not in America's favor those deals will mean nothing.
We are our own worst enemy.
Secondly even the big corporations know we are little more than
about fifteen years from scaling oil production back and moving on.
They are looking for the next leveraged thing they can get to replace
their profit margin So the oil people some defend today will have the
big companies spit in your eye its about timing and money

No "we" are not. It's the brainwashed who think they can live without fire because someone told them they are hurting the environment. Without fire the environment will kill them in minutes. Can "we" arrange for them to live without fire?

You're are a fukking idiot..

The world uses 71.7 million barrels of oil a day, the US 17 million barrels a day. Yearly we are talking 26.1 billion barrels for the world and 6.2 billion barrels of oil for the US.

So let's do the math here:

1 pound of dry hemp is the equivalent of 2 ounces of oil. There is 42 gallons of oil in one barrel.

Converted, 128 ounces is the equivalent to 1 gallons.

128/2=64

64 pounds of hemp for 1 gallon of oil.

64*42=2688

2688 pounds for 1 barrel of Hemp Oil.

To meet the demand of oil for the world DAILY:

2688*71.7mil=192.7bil

192.7 BILLION pounds of hemp a day.

Now for the US Daily ALONE:

2688*17=45.6bil

That's 45.6 Billion pounds of Hemp that would have to be produced DAILY for the U.S..

For the world Yearly:

2688*26.1bil=70.1tril

70.1 TRILLION POUNDS OF HEMP??? No f'n way possible. The US is a similiar figure, 16.6 trillion. There is no way the earth is capable of handling this massive output of farming for resources.

The biggest crop in the US is corn, amounting to 87.8 million acres, producing about 2 billion pounds a year.

...........................

Now here's a tube of KY for you...

You, of course, can provide a link ... and a magic wand to materialize equal measure of crude in three months or so

That's funny all the ships I see in Vancouver harbour and I have never seen one from Saudi-could it be that someone here is FOFS?

It's nice when the tankers from Newfoundland show up, gas prices drop considerably.

Where does the oil refined in Puget Sound come from? It's in Canadian tanks too. Burnaby can't keep up.

canadians are seeking the wisest decisons, and unfortunately the 2014 approval was not one of them.Revisiting the unsresolved issues with all stakeholders at the table is a good start to a neglected process.
