What does North Korea have that the US want so badly?

Balls?

Balls of uranium?

If they have a nuke program they are getting U235 from somewhere. Must be a sizable deposit if it stirring this kind of interest.

So what happens next in this game? The west plays hero, invades, the usual army ninja geologists go in and do the mapping that hasn't been done since geo-physics went mindbogglingly digital.

So post invasion/ninja geologists, the IMF comes in and frees the nation thrusting them into mining jobs and factories to pay off the massive "aid" loans while earning $3 a week working for these "liberating western corporations" eeking by and living on Spaghetti-Os like everyone else?

Apparently they hve uranium which is worth around $52 US an lb as of late. When I started working in nuclear it was worth $6.

Far more profitable than oil.

When will we take the NK lead and develope nuclear weapons in Canada? As a trade and diplomatic tool. Think of the economic boost that research and developements into better bombs and delivery systems would provide in this downturn. We could probably build the missiles out of hemp. We could also extort billions out of our neighbours by just threatening some damn island nobodies ever heard of like Hawaii. Nuclear weaponry is in great demand now, we have to act before the oportunity goes up in smoke and a mushroom cloud.

Worst case scenario. NK screws up, launches missile somewhere and hits Japan. Japan builds nukes, then so does SK and Taiwan. Tension in SE Asia goes through the roof. Japan nukes NK. SK nukes Japan to show them they can't nuke Koreans. J then nukes SK. NA auto industry survives.

Remember, in the fifties life was simple. One major worry was that an Earwig would crawl in your ear and lay eggs that hatch in your brain.8O
Earwigs have been around as long as Cockroaches and will probably survive nuclear war too. I am hearing rumors that they are multiplying at an alarming rate and are tire of waiting for Armageddon. You should sleep with ear plugs just in case they are planning a preemptive strike.

If we want peace we just can't exclude countries just for their political beliefs.

Ah the fifties had it easy with the Bomb.
Then the drug crazed hippies came and instead of being the end all they turned out to be first unconformist soap box standers and now they are unmotivated loafs happy to make too much money, live in empty houses and play with the computer all day.

Bugs don't kill us any more. Not like they used to.

So what will we do? It's not like we can just sit around not being afraid of stuff. That leads to not consuming for pleasure which is how we make our selves feel better in these troubled times. Should that happen, all our phoney baloney jobs are toast!

Hell we could easily end up having to spend all day every day with the sqawling brats we hatch and suffer the nattering of our spouses we choose to partner up with.

Ahh that's the fear I've grown to love. ;-)
