Harpers phoney economy and the parasitical financial sector will never permit Canadians to engage in terrorist activitys like Canadians building kitchen chairs and tables in Canada for Canadians using Canadian trees. The corporate thieves will never let us make our own shoes or our own cars or anything else unless they are permitted to scrape the cream from the top in perpetuity just because they're self labled " dynamic inovators", well they're just the ugly exposed organs of the bank cults. None of the partys speak of breaking the stranglehold of the money changers even in the face of thier open theft of the common wealth of every land thier filthy boots tread upon. So, please explain how massive deficit spending and the collapse of huge American companies in the USA......is Harper's fault.
Then explain why you believe we are facing economic disaster.......with unemployment at 6.1 percent, about the lowest it has been in 35 years.

Oh!....and while you are at it, try to explain how the Liberals will solve all our deficit/economic problems......by taxing everything, (which is supposedto be offset by income tax cuts) and promising to increase spending twice as much as Harper?

It's not what happens it's how you deal with it. Those problems don't require a massive set of tax cuts when there is a good chance of people needing government assistance to remain afloat and make major changes to their livelihood.
The boom in Alta. changes the true features of this recession. Anything for oil looks good on paper right now, but once the cost of the clean up comes in, we'll see how that effects the employment stats.

Well before Harper came along, the books were balanced and people were working, buying new homes, cars and taking vacations. Now most are getting concerned about keeping what they have. That should tell you something.

We can..and do make sure people do not die if they lose there jobs, we make sure savings are insured. But what exactly do you want the Government to do? Tell the U.S. to not have a melt down? Maybe we should by AIG?
If we have a free market system..it is a market..It is free.. you can not control it. You can regulate it and audit it for coruption but other than that you have to leave it alone to work.
Gas prices would have never started back down if we froze them when that got high...bubble burst..inverstors are getting hurt..public will win!

I don't disagree about the softwodd..That was unfair towards the agreement we have. But it doesn't call for reworking..it may call for better enforcement!

Lowest unemployment ... lowest earnings. Minimum wage at Wendy's is a long way from twenty-bucks-an-hour at Weyerhauser.
