We can..and do make sure people do not die if they lose there jobs, we make sure savings are insured. But what exactly do you want the Government to do? Tell the U.S. to not have a melt down? Maybe we should by AIG?

If we have a free market system..it is a market..It is free.. you can not control it. You can regulate it and audit it for coruption but other than that you have to leave it alone to work.

Gas prices would have never started back down if we froze them when that got high...bubble burst..inverstors are getting hurt..public will win!

PS among machine controls there are many devices called regulators, those regulations enacted for market control to provide for a market free of corruption after the last great depression, have all long ago been removed from the markets by the same houses responsible for that same great depression, essentially the only difference in the level of corruption today is it's scope and speed of spread.

Nah. We've been losing since gov'ts were developed. Very few have been worth a pinch of coonspit and none in Canada that I can think of. Gross waste of money, and extremely inefficient way of getting things done regardless of which party is governing.
