Who's a 780'er you damn 306'er? :p

It doesn't matter where I am... it's a nitpicky point, but when discussing privacy, it's not considered a freedom, it's considered a right. Just a grammatical thing. And the UN's views on basic human rights trumps the US's or even Canada's in my opinion.
It's a limited privilege not a right.

Rights are absolute without limitation.

yeah? List me one human right that isn't conditional.

We kill people when it's necessary.

Jail them when it's necessary.

Injure them.

The list goes on.

That doesn't change the fact that when talking about the 'right to life', we start calling it a privilege. It's not, it's a right.

My right to privacy in my own home, is most definitely a right, not a privilege afforded to me.

The important thing to remember is that I do not have privacy in public, thus no right to something that isn't present in the first place.
