Well, in Islam you have the Mecca and the Medina. The Mecca is the peaceful version of Islam. The Medina is where all the hate and violence comes from and was written after Mohammed(pigs be under him) was run out of Mecca.
Just as in Christianity were the NT is supposed to supersede the OT, the Medina was intended to supersede the Mecca. The difference being, the NT is about love and compassion, the Medina is about violence, hate and conquest.
