The real truth is none of them are news anymore. The news facilities are all
entertainment centers. Even CNN has feature programming now which is a
total waste of time. Fox is still hiding in sheeps clothing, and MSNBC is no
better. John Stewart is now the Tom Brokaw of the newsworld and he is a
comedian for gods sake what does that tell you. More people are interested
in entertainment news than about starving people. If there is a disaster we'll
give them a few dollars and move on.
News as we knew it is no longer a reality so we are arguing about nothing here
they are all the same talking heads of the left and right. The left look better on
Television and they don't sound negative in a sound bite but no one says anything
that will make a difference Ted Cruz did more to destroy the image of the right
than anyone else in 2013 that is the only news worthy of note.

“Rove started an underground whisper campaign about my father,” Meghan McCain alleges. “Yes, sick (bleep)ed up, a disgusted and embarrassing scar that will forever remain on presidential politics and South Carolina history.

“I was furious, upset and heartbroken when it happened, and even now if I think about it, it makes me want to vomit. Karl Rove is a pathetic excuse for a human being and has never publicly apologized for his cowardice and culpability for what was said about my little sister in South Carolina during the 2000 race.”

No. CBC Newsnet is number one in Canada but do you see anyone posting a thread about it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've never understood why some care who is number one. It's not as if "popular" = "quality". I seriously doubt those that think Faux News is popular because it's the best think Justin Bieber is the best

Don't you think all the high road wanderers in this forum would be singing a different tune if a left wing news station was #1 in the ratings?
Self proclaimed Neutral = hypocrite ............

I disagree.. Had the ship 'o fools not been caught in the ice and submitted a damning report on AGW, all of the aforementioned would be ranting and raving about the harm to Mother Gaia regardless of the network

Actually Walter you have a point it never really happened although the announcers
did not comment with a personal view, as it were. Today there are fewer and fewer
news people they are now listed as commentators and therefore are not really news
people they have become news celebrities they could just as easily be making
remarks about new suits or ties. We so often lose track of what the story is about as
it is now about the opinion of the commentator more than the value of the story.
That happens on both sides.

Northern Ontario,
More and more people, at least in this forum, are P. O. ed that their particular point of view isn't # 1

Both MSNBC and FOX are political propoganda tools. Neither are news.

And I don't believe you would say that if msnbc or cnn were in front.....you would be too busy gloating.....
In front of what? They aren't news, they're porn for political wankers.

FOX News is no more a news program than TMZ.

It's pretty funny to see them whining about others spewing hate. US politics and political commentary is becoming nothing more than spewing hate

Blood sport. Not for the faint of heart. Meanwhile the important things like keeping the economy rolling are left behind.

And faux news is?
Absolutely! Fox generally covers issues that other networks won't or couldn't be bothered to cover. It's actually refreshing to watch one channel (be it CNN, MSNBC or whatever) and then tune in to Fox - then, at least, you get (somewhat) both sides of the story if its even covered on the other networks. It seems that good investigative reporting is just too much trouble for most networks and they'd just rather demean Fox as to provide intelligent discourse as to why Fox is presenting the wrong point of view. Because of that, I usually dismiss anything they say. If you can't back it up, then shut up!! It's getting to the point where a good discussion is rare; getting answers to questions highly unlikely (and the questions are usually "puff") and dishonesty prevails. Totally disgusting!!
