Aside from Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Prime Ministers, what politician (who served during your lifetime) have you disliked the most and why?

Mike Harris. He kept his promise about a war on poverty. He never said it would be done with attacks on the destitute and assaults on the disabled. Meanwhile, he gave a misappropriating Hydro CEO a 1.5 million dollar bonus for early retirement. He was my MLA - a SOB who called me a "lazy bas*ard because I was on welfare (caught in the "smooth and seamless" transition from Voc Rehab to ODSP)

We had a Provincial election June 3 1999. June 1 I was moving to cheaper housing outside his riding - so I voted in the advance poll just so I could cast my ballot directly against him. I can think of a lot faster and harder things I wanted to cast....

Lone,
Would you really resort to that kind of thing?

Again..........what Wolf said: Harrass was a prick and a bully. That's as volatile as I'm allowed to be without being banned.

Nurses were "hula hoops"........Single moms lost a $34.00/month stipend, so they wouldn't "spend it on beer".........

Just a throughgoing nasty human being. Now we have some of his minions in Harpos fed. gov.

So, my vote is for Harris, provincially, and of course, Mulroney, federally.

The country was poorer both financially and spiritually after they got through with it.

..................and now Mulroo "advises" Harpo.................Jeebus!!!

enough, Nugg.:angry3:

Stevie Harpo, born February 1959, in Toronto, but moved to Alberta in 1978. So more than 30 of his 49 years were spent in the West. He qualifies as dispicable.

Gordon Campbell.... He's why I left BC. I have to laugh when I get recruitment stuff in the mail trying to get me to go back.

Gordon Cambell must score pretty highly . Here is a man that went to Hawaii, got himself p i s s e d to the eyeballs, got himself thrown in jail, Had his jail picture in all the papers the next morning, and then he came home to stiffen the laws about drunk driving here at home. Can anyone say "Hypocritical a s s h o l e"....I can.....;-)

Ralph Klein, he balanced the budget and eliminated the debt on the backs of the poor and then consistently low-balled oil prices in the budget which prevented proper long-term investment in infrastructure in favour of one-time spending promises.

IIRC, the Stelmach government set oil prices in the current budget somewhere around $76/bbl which means another huge surplus is all but guaranteed, the rest of Canada is going to be squawking about "oil rich Alberta" at the Council of the Federation and this fall my kid goes to a public school with at least 500 kids, no where to put them and the principal won't guarantee any student to teacher ratio.

That was maybe one of my favorite moments discussing politics with my dad. He actually voted for Cambell cause he wanted some integrity brought back into provincial politics:lol:

I didn't completely dislike Bill Vanderzalm but it's laughable now to think back of his attempt to connect with the "working man". One of his platform promises was cheap beer.

Harpo has never acted like a prime minister, never made an attempt to, so for over two years now all he has been is one of the Marx Bros. His two aides (aides----sickens me to say that for it almost gives him credibility) are Groucho and Zeppo.

.....so since I don't consider him my prime minister he fits in quite nicely....

Take your pick,Emerson,Stronach,Brison, and why not Garth Turner. All were elected to represent your views and chose personal gain over integrity. Libby Davies, for having the gall to present the 'Truthers' in the HofC deserves a place in the top ten also. On the international stage,Al Gore, is head and shoulders above all, primarily for his relentless pursuit of 'enviromental awareness' while he is raking in millions (billions) with his carbon trading company and appearances.

Gordon Campbell, our drunk driver.
His party rigged a fake investigation on Glen Clarke, which caused him to
have to resign, and later after the dust settled, he was found innocent, as I
knew he was all along.
If Glen Clark was ever arrested for drinking and driving, while premier of B.C.,
Gordon Campbell's opposition party would have seen to it that he was kicked out,
however a silly apology from campbell kept him in office, after he was arrested in
Hawaii for drunk driving.

I will never forget that, so hypocritical and sickening.
