And the war on white people continues..
I see it as a war against logic, common sense, and unity. Trudeau is waging a war against his own people, thinking that dividing people is going to give him more power. His strategy isn't entirely without merit...it worked well for his Liberal predecessors. Unfortunately, the sentiment of segregation and division in this country has been nurtured for long enough that it has taken firm hold. Canadians by and large don't feel like they're a part of something cohesive, Canada is a fractured nation with an us-against-them attitude. It's tragic that the "us" and "them" are contained within the physical and social bounds of this country, and troubling (to put it mildly) that these notions are only gaining strength, thanks in no small part to our government and our hapless 'leader'.
Trudeau himself has come out declaring Canada a "post-national" state. "There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada," Trudeau claimed after the October election. He has worked incredibly hard to support this divisive sentiment and continues to encourage and drive it forward within this country every chance he gets.
Trudeau hates the idea of unity within his own country he's disgusted by the very notion of a cohesive nation...he's admitted it, and would like nothing more than for it to segregate into identity and racial groups. His most recent leap into the Gerald Stanley verdict and his notion that the Justice system needs to be changed because of it is just another example of the degrading trajectory that we are on.
