I am in agreement with Liz Braun's article in Sun News - this movie isn't about hero's at all but how ugly war is - period.


I don't plan on seeing this movie anytime soon - maybe when it comes on a movie channel, not that I have anything against this movie (or any other for that matter), but simply because its too expensive to go.

Oh, and in my humble opinion, Michael Moore is an ***!

Personally, I think the USA and Canada needs to take the fight to ISIS and should adopt a Draft, start drafting all those who are welfare feeding off the society. Put the leeches on the Front lines.. next the lawyers.

I hope that was tongue and cheek. Our front line soldiers don't want draftees and they are not needed.

Yeah tongue and cheek. I doubt a welfare recipient would have the knowledge or capability to operate half the newest technology used during warfare, even if taught.

Other than just being Infantry or a Boatswain on a ship, I doubt they have the aptitude for much else.

Only someone ignorant would believe the infantry is for those with low aptitudes. Someone who does not know what they are talking about.

Dude, infantry are the grunts.. not much brain power need there..

Now if you want to work up to master mechanic, armor infantry, NCOIC, Gunnery, Combat Support Unit, and so on ...

Basic infantry are the fighters.. they are brave.

Look you and I know who it works, get moved to a trade and your NCO after 5 years..

I'm not saying that infantry any any less of a soldier, but they are front lines.. grunts, and unless you have the aptitude and intelligence you won't move up.

I know plenty that never moved up and washed out. They weren't lifers. :)

I still have family working with NTOC Cleveland, OH.

I got NCO in 3... and I was a Grunt.

You don't know how it works at all.
