"Michael Ignatieff becomes professor."

I feel sorry for the parents of his students. So much money spent for so little value!

They say "those who can, do and those who can't teach", so maybe Iggy has finally found his proper spot.

Yeah, but you have to understand Y.J. isn't fond of Liberals. Now, if Harper had taken a teaching job..........................

If Harper had taken a teaching job, #juan would have cooked up a statement similar to the one I made about Ignatieff, but, of course, far less witty and truthful.

I think that those who sincerely believe that, probably have little to contribute as a teacher.

Apprently he is going to teach at the University of Toronto.
I believe he originally graduated from the UofT.

Stay tuned, Layton will be next, hahaha! !

Believe it or not even though he lost the elections he still has valuable experience that would help him as a teacher if he is even a good teacher to start.

Strange that as an economic liberal (which I assume you are if you're a member of a party that considers itself in favour of free markets), you oppose free movement of labour markets between borders.

Does that mean the "conservative" philosophy is "go out and take advantage of open markets, but if you leave, don't come back"?

At least they graduated.

Be careful about idolizing Doctorate degrees. Remember that Gobbels had a doctorate degree. Yes, that Gobels, Nazi propaganda minister. I remember one doctor who was also a member of the British National Party, another far right party.

A doctorate degree may reflect a person's intellect, but not necessarily that person's moral judgement.

Remember too that there could be various reasons, financial or otherwise, preventing a person from getting this or that qualification, or getting one.

There are so many factors involved, in the end we should use our own rational minds and not just blindly follow someone because of their title.

Ignatieff is an intellectual not a politician and that is why he didn't related to the average
guy on the street. Moral character and educational standing are two different things.
I am one of those people who does not believe we are better off now with the free trade
deals. It is true in the short term however we are encumbering our wealth and putting it
at the mercy of foreign interests allowing them to own our wealth. I guess I will always
remain somewhat of an economic nationalist. We must control our wealth within our
boarders. I agree we can sell our excess but not the base product. We as Canadians
must control our assets. We must decide also who gets what, and how much and that
depends on how we are treated by foreign interests.
