And it has NOTHING to do with collusion. Which is still a frameup; a witchhunt. .

It actually seems to indicate that this investigation is entirely merited.

It also seems to me that maybe one of the things Manafort has been caught lying about is the meeting with the Russian(s?) attended by Donny Jr and Ivanka's wife.

That has been sold as just sort happening and MAnafort being just sort of there and yet now we understand that this guy was a paid Russian lobbyist who was hiding the money from the US government and then actually lying about it.

SO we look forward to the days ahead.

It seems like an excellent starting point.

Still waiting to see who is going to play the John Dean part in this whole thing. These two are more like Bebe Rebozo.

Yeah. I don't think anyone needs play the Dean role.

Occasionally you get scum of the earth that nonetheless will go to prison rather than play stool pigeon.

Not among this type.

These guys will sing whatever tune prosecutors ask of them.

If Trump is dirty, this will be his downfall.

Hallelujah.

Pence as President.

Hiding his tax returns and ranting about Hillary isn't too credible. Members of his family, including Donald, have bragged in the past about their Russian dealings. If this was all he had to worry about with this investigation he would've moved on a long time ago.

It was a mistake to bring Manafort in. He was beltway insider and lobbyist with murky connections to Russian linked Ukranian interests. He seemed like a political opportunist who was using the Trump connection to bolster his faltering lobbying business. There were red flags all over this. He was waste deep in the polluted swamp of Washington lobbying culture.
Bla bla bla....

Papadopoulos met with Russian who sought to broker relationship with Trump campaign

https://www.washingtonpost.com/?wpisrc=al_news__alert-national&wpmk=1

Historic day for Washington.......with probably more to come.

We'll see what sort of song Manafort and Gates sing after the White House makes it crystal clear that they're being thrown underneath the Transit van. Manafort is faced with the prospect of spending most or all of the rest of his life behind bars (he's sixty eight) if he "takes a bullet" for a lying con-man President. He's a natural to cop a plea deal so that he can play with his grandchildren in his dotage. I sincerely doubt that a bully like Trump is going to command much loyalty from people whom he cannot hurt any further.

I think Papadopoulos is the one who gave up the other two. Apparently he was arrested in July, plead guilty to lying about not trying to arrange meetings between the Trump campaign and the Rooskies. The FBI has cut some deal with him.

It turns out that Manafort ran the campaign for the Putin guy on Ukraine.

They won that election using massive social media manipulation and plenty of thugs in the street. The formula that worked for Trump had already been worked by the Russians a number of times and the guy Trump brought in to run his campaign was the guy who had already done it.

What a same world it really is.

The Congressional hearing was told that maybe 126 million people saw Facebook posts from Russian government agents. That is a pretty amazing.

He might be holding out hopes for a presidential pardon. But if Trump pardons these two for this it'll be "HUUUGE". I mean, filthy rich bastards like Manafort and Gates laundering tens of millions to avoid taxes and using their money to buy big houses and fancy suits? Even without any Russian connection what excuse would Trump give to pardon them?

At the same time, the Trumps have to be nervous, even if there's nothing about Russia to be found. Anyone who thinks Trump and his family haven't been using every trick in the book to hide income and avoid taxes must believe in the tooth fairy. Would Trump stoop to the same tactics as Manafort and Gates? Of course he would! So what is under those rocks when they get turned over? And how many others around Trump are going to be facing similar problems?
