 So it'd be ok to kill abortionists.

Not surprised. I don't approve of the idea either. I think using violence to combat violence is just antediluvian to the point of being Jurassic.

Not to mention being downright rude.

I'm not the one advocating the death penalty. All I'm saying is that if you want it, and it's brought back, then you should be prepared to live by the same code. You want to kill someone for something they did or helped to do, then be prepared to forfeight your own life if the system that you helped bring about kills someone that didn't deserve it.

What's so hard to understand with that? Oh...I know..... it's ok to allow someone else to be killed, as long as it's not your neck on the line.

Now they are saying they may never find the remains of poor Tori.

Police may never find Tori's remains - The Globe and Mail

I have to say, my blood is boiling even more now.

Quite frankly, they need to do whatever it takes to find her remains. My heart breaks for the family, who will never have closure on this. Whether it's tack a year to the sentence for each day that the body is missing until they find her, or more drastic methods.

I know if it was my daughter, I would want her back, so I could give her a proper burial.

The thing that worries me most is that without a body, can they be sentenced for murder, or will they get away with it now?

In a murder case with no body, no crime scene, and virtually no physical evidence (that we the public know of), when this goes to trial, the prosecution (crown) will have a difficult time of proving first degree murder.

unless...

In such cases, prosecutors must build a circumstantial case using evidence acquired by crime-scene investigators, statements from witnesses and details about the behavior and actions of the suspect in the crime.

The key to a conviction is that the evidence presented at trial must be sufficient to convince a jury that a homicide is the only reasonable explanation of what took place.

However, if prosecutors lose in court and a body or other evidence is later discovered, the defendant cannot be retried.

Before that happens it's time to put his testicles and her tits in the clamps and start turning the screws very slowly.

I'm just glad the parents will get some closure from the loss of their child.

Personally, I'm glad those two are finally going to be put away and I hope we don't go to extraordinary measures to keep them safe from the general prison population.

I've advocated the proper punishment for those monsters for years, but not many people want it anymore - would rather pay to feed, clothe and house them.
