A Mouse Once Bit My Sister
Most of the world sees the US as being full of nutcases. A coloured guy gets elected and all the bozos run to the store to buy guns (and idiots like Trump and Palan promote it). I wouldn't invest a nickel in the US. Not for tax reasons, because of all the wingnuts.

Good, fludh them out, it'll allow someone else to take their market share.

Someone to take the market share, eh?

That's the problem... No one is doing that for a variety of reasons just like the one you posted above

Warren Buffett, Gord Nixon, Stephen Harper..

Let's see, Buffet supported Obama's campaign and supported the tax the rich proposal... To his credit, he has, and is, donating much of his money to a variety of charities and excellent causes... That is highly laudable, but it means so much more when it's done voluntarily as opposed to the gvt just confiscating it.

... BTW - I do like the Harper reference in the list of US Conservatives.... Nice touch

Yes, as always it's,

BLAME OBAMA!

It's about time that the Democrats assumed the blame for their mistakes and misgivings

-------------

BTW, Walmart's just opened up a new place in Beaverton, Oregon and Chicago just had a job fare for 65 new jobs that were opened up.

Shall we credit Obama for that ???????????

Nothing like a handful of great paying Walmart jobs to really shore-up the middle class in Beaverton, Oregon and Chicago... I guess that the economy is saved.

That's quite a list you made.

Did you notice that some of the excuses that were offered related to those numbers 'not counting' because the company was closing it's doors anyways?

Nice logic, eh?... They don't count as layoffs because the company went bankrupt instead

Everything. If America stopped practicing and celebrating the two major sins of abortion and homosexuality, God would bless her again, and the economy would recover.

Does God punish many for the "sins" of a few, if in fact he's views them as "sins"?

Buffet, along with Bill Gates and a few others, has long been a supporter of the wealthy paying higher taxes. This isn't news. He also takes no deductions for his charity.

Also, the claim that Obama has launched a “war on coal” is nonsense: coal employment hit a 15 year high last November, and coal jobs are either higher or at the same level as four years ago in West Virginia, Virginia, and Ohio.

The coal CEO laying off workers is the same one who forced his workers to attend a Romney rally in August. Those workers had to forgo a day of pay in order to attend the rally. In the past, Murray has also forced his workers to make campaign donations to Republicans.

Makes one wonder why they don't have a union.

Are there any conservatives who aren't "idiots" or "wingnuts" in your view?

Like here there are lots but they are smart enough to keep their mouths shut and not look like fools. There are also plenty like us that are fiscal conservatives and social liberals that have no real home although Obama comes closest.

Everything. If America stopped practicing and celebrating the two major sins of abortion and homosexuality, God would bless her again, and the economy would recover.

Right now, America is trying to do "her own thing" without God. As a result she's dying - spiritually, culturally, and economically.

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." - God

That is plain retarded.

The Moonie Times posted a lot of BS so someone has to refute their crap..............

That's quite a list you made.

I didn't make the list.......I just responded to it. But I don't think they will publish it.

As you know it's also on the beckistan site..........

Since that long list is not yours, please provide the source for the copy and paste and we'll insert that into your post. We wouldn't want there to be any suggestions of plagiarism or you know, confusion. You know, someone thinking you had done all that research yourself.

Thank you.

I wasn't asked to use US conservatives. How about Gord Nixon on the conservative list? Perhaps the most powerful CEO in Canada, he is a champion of minority opportunities (what the US likes to call affirmative action), as well as clean energy investment. He understands that there is corporate responsibility in the well being of everyone, and in doing so those corporations become a magnet for investment money. It's good business sense to be inclusive and be an investor in social responsibility, and not just be another negative roadblock . The US conservatives, particularly the tea party gang, could take a lesson from him in how to attract investment.

Just a small story about the terrible struggles of the richest 1 percent--the people who refuse to pay slightly more in taxes so that millions of people will have jobs, seniors will get healthcare, roads will get built.

Have the kleenex ready in case you start weeping while reading this,,,,,,,,,,,,,

GulfStream, Chef, 90,000 Sq Ft Home Gone: Shed Tears For The Rich

Shall we Cry for the Siegals:

Of course, the trauma of giving up a Gulfstream or a yacht can't compare with the millions of Americans who have lost their only job or home. The Siegels will make do in their current 26,000-square-foot mansion.

As she stands on her deck in the Florida sun, Ms. Siegel wipes away her tears. "Maybe it will still work out," she says. "It always does, right?"

Jacqueline Siegel, pictured here, and her husband, David, couldn't afford to finish building their 90,000-square-foot house—the largest private home in the U.S.—after the credit crunch.

You may know the Siegels from this glorious effort...............

Last week, billionaire CEO David Siegel, who runs a timeshare empire, threatened to fire employees if President Obama is reelected in November, saying in an email, “the economy doesn’t currently pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is another 4 years of the same Presidential administration.”

YOU don't determine right and wrong either - except for yourself. You know this, right?

No I don't determine right and wrong for myself! That's moral relativism sir!

Guess what happens when a person conveniently uses their own standard of morality? Suddenly "I'm a good person everyone! I'm nice to my neighbor and love my kids! Aren't I great?!".

You do realize that if Hitler were here right now he would tell us "I'm a good person, I purged Germany of Jews"? After all, according to you we determine right and wrong for ourselves right?

That's why God sets the standard sir.

Here is a genuine question for Walter, well actually a couple of questions
First, as Edward R Murrow once asked Joseph McCarthy "Have YOU no Shame"

Secondly would you really want to associate with people who behaved like idiots
because they couldn't have their own way? Would you really want to have yourself
linked with the reputation of these people who cannot accept the will of the people,
and the concept of democracy?
Oh sorry I guess you would.
The problem for the Republican Party and the prime reason they lost was because of
the behavior of some of it members and people who associated themselves with the
Party that used to be respected. Its for those very reasons your heroes lost and now
of course they will sit on the side lines for four more years until Ms Clinton defeats them.

Is it right or wrong to turn threads into a discussion on the way you think people should live their lives? That ain't GOD....

The conversation ALWAYS turns to theology or morality when I'm involved. You should see what it's like for me away from CC. I could be talking with someone about mundane things like the weather, and BAM, the conversation turns to a debate about God's existence or character, or morality, or politics - everytime. (Y'all won't leave me alone on the subject(s)) ;)

And you can live your life how you see fit, but don't step on my throat when I try to warn you about the consequences of choices I believe to be sinful. Free speech yo!

Then stop bringing God into the conversation. See why I said "obsessive" a while back? I'm comfortable with mine. You sound very insecure in yours. Obama isn't God. Neither is Romney or the recession.
