s-a-r-c-a-s-m.... I know I didn't use purple, but I'd have thought that the suggestion was extreme enough for those with a limited grasp on reality to understand.

It seemed legit, given your extreme problem understanding most anything related to science.

Get back to me when you make the decision to live in the real world and leave your fantasy-land of academia and theoretical 'what ought to be' philosophy behind.

You're delusional. So you think academia is represented by private corporations with no educational mandate? 8O I rest my case.

Without balance, exclusivity in any one area is not representative of reality.

But in the end, Fluke is not lobbying for medication to address ovarian cancer - she is lobbying for contraception. The notion that the pill can have a positive influence on ovarian cancer is incidental... But then again, if you take the time to read through the link gerryh provided, you'd see that use of the pill also comes with a health cost of it's own.

Considering you being a man of science, I would have thought that this issue would have been relevant to your position.

Well, I've said from the beginning that this is a discussion for a woman and her doctor. She is testifying in support of a mandate in a bill...the benefit to women in reduced risks for many illnesses is not incidental at all, it's part of the reason why the report from the National Academy suggested this should be part of the healthcare reform, because it is an actual prophylactic treatment.

Well, I've said from the beginning that this is a discussion for a woman and her doctor.

You have also specifically ignored that Fluke has been lobbying for the inclusion of contraceptives (in general - you getting this yet?) from the inception of this issue.

Selectively ignoring the corner stone issue doesn't make it go away

She is testifying in support of a mandate in a bill...

.. A bill for what exactly and more over, her solution requires the inclusion of (fill in the blank here).

the benefit to women in reduced risks for many illnesses is not incidental at all, it's part of the reason why the report from the National Academy suggested this should be part of the healthcare reform, because it is an actual prophylactic treatment.

Based on that highly generalized description, I suppose that preventative chemo therapy or hysterectomies would easily qualify as a solution - how come you and Fluke aren't demanding a wholesale program based on those extreme solutions? Is Fluke really all about women's health or not?

But, again, that is an aside. Afterall, Fluke did recognize that 'contraception' for the purpose of medical reasons WAS covered by Georgetown's student insurance.

A medical secretary that doesn't know what Razadine is....you do need it:lol:

You still don't get it ..nobody is restricting access to anything....You don't like the medical plan where you plan to work or plan to go to school???
Find another job or school or get your own bloody plan....
If that's too hard for you to comprehend at your advanced age.....I give up trying to explain it to you:roll::roll::roll:

Good grief, I have been retired for about 13 years. Since I have great mental & physical health, and there are soooo many new products developed I have no need of, why would I even care to know of them?? You, on the other hand seem to have an intimate knowledge of the product. That says a great deal.

I certainly "get it" as you say. I understand the pleasures of a penis ranks higher than those of a uterus and how dare women want the same freedom and pleasures as men!! All women have experienced the same narrow-minded intolerance many times during their lifetimes.

Birthcontrol should be as easily and cheaply available to women as to men. The younger generation is not about to be manipulated, by the elderly, religiously hampered, control freaks.

So you don't get it. Why would you say you get it, when you obviously don't?

It is.

If you want one so bad, I'm sure you can find a surgeon who'll perform an addadictomy

...or work to get the plan changed. Why is that not an option for some people? We recently made changes to our Blue Cross plan that improved our dental coverage. I really can't undrestand why that is such a big deal to you. Fortunately, people like you have not been running the world or we never would have progressed.

No it isn't, unless you only consider condoms which are not as effective but I wouldn't expect somebody like you, Das or Cap'n to look at the entire picture. That would be too difficult given your misogynistic views.

SOMETIMES. She highlighted the difficulties, with school administrators and insurance agents sometimes denying that the prescription was medically necessary, which in one case resulted in a women's hospitalization. Go read her testimony again.

You have also specifically ignored that Fluke has been lobbying for the inclusion of contraceptives

No I haven't.

Don't have any experience with women. Been married 36 years...lol

You really need to get your facts straight. In EIGHT years George W. Bush increased the US debt load by 2.27 TRILLION dollars. That was a monstrous disaster, I agree......but in THREE years Obama has increased the debt load by FOUR TRILLION dollars....

The Democrats are increasing the debt load at a rate almost five times that of the Republicans.

WHO is printing money????

What an amazing woman your wife must be!!

Obviously the result of your admitted stupidity.

Shuffling goalposts for other members are you now?
That would be too difficult given your misogynistic views.

Seriously dude, stop taking the fun out of me embarrassing you, by doing it yourself.

Just trying to educate the misogynists. I know it's a difficult task and even more so with you, given your admitted disadvantage (to which I as a Canadian take full responsibility for)

Here's a link so you boys can understand the difference between the types of birth control. I think it's probably age appropriate for you guys

Still shuffling goalposts. I can understand how you being admittedly stupid, would manifest in such silly use of fallacy and unsupportable claims.

So I ask again, please stop sucking all the fun out of me embarrassing you, by doing it to yourself.

Still shuffling goalposts.

How does your lack of knowledge regarding birth control message equate with me shuffling goal posts? If it bothers you to have this lack of knowledge pointed out, perhaps you should just refrain from commenting on things you know so little about.

LOL, shuffling it yet again...

But here, lets look at your embarrassing mess...

Birthcontrol should be as easily and cheaply available to women as to men.

No it isn't...

And unfortunately for you, birth control is as easily and cheaply available to women as it is to men.

If it bothers you to have this lack of knowledge pointed out, perhaps you should just refrain from commenting on things you know so little about.
The fact that all you managed to do was embarrass yourself for me, aside. My PWN'ing you over and over, hasn't stopped you from posting. I blame your admitted stupidity.

But please stop embarrassing yourself. It's sucking all the fun out of it for me.

When you show your pay stub with your Blue Cross deduction like I showed mine....maybe people will believe your "Bullshyte" people might just give a modicum of credence to your post...otherwise you're just blowing smoke outa your arse...
Don't you ever quit being a troll pretending to be intelligent???

I tried to find if their plan offers free condoms or "vasectomies" to men, and couldn't find anything about it.
Now Ms retired Bluebyrd when you find the info and post it....then It will give you credibility...Otherwise yours is just doddering that gives all seniors a bad name...salut!

You'll likely have to wait. He's probably gone for his usual "I've just been PWND" coffee break.

Ahhh the snappy, one line arrogant put down.....
Compared to yours?

Speaking of witless opinionated responses.
It is..........

The typical witless opinated response.
That's as witless and opinionated as it gets. You and Jimmy sure do lead the way in being blow hards...

The fact remains, women have easy access to cheap contraceptives, just as men do.
