Why would they announce them in their throne speech? Clearly you lack understanding when it comes to the time frames involved in major infrastructure projects if you think a government would be able to announce a project or projects a few weeks into a mandate. Perhaps you should just stop talking now before this gets really embarrassing for you.

Given that their deficit will be running next year, and this was a cornerstone of their campaign -- one of their key promises -- one would think they would be anxious to be loud and proud on their intentions (if any).

Their intentions are clear. You're just not listening. Unlike you though, they probably understand the foolishness of announcing projects before feasibility and engineering studies are done or before provinces are online. How does it feel to be sillier than a Liberal politician?

How does it feel to live all your days under a bridge?

The highways fund your health care. Enjoy!
Explain, please, because so far, I think that is bullshtt.

PS the bulk of healthcare is Provincial. Bitch at Victoria.
lol Initially, the fed carried 50% of the burden of healthcare cost. Mostly because of the Gliberal gov'ts, that has dwindled down to around 10% and the last time it dwindled was when Martin cut the transfers without much warning.
I have said for years, that if the fed does not want the cost of healthcare, it should just give warning to the provinces and stay the rack out of it altogether and keep its beak out of provincial business. The same thing for education.

Although most bitch about Harper and oil investments and oil to fund Asia Pacific Gateway, Atlantic Gateway, infrastructure and the inland ports all funded by oil and other high dollar resources was all set in motion over 35 years ago.

Projects like these take decades. Target date is 2025 for completion.

Our economy is going to explode.

Sit tight, strap yourself in and enjoy the f-cking ride!

As much as I believe you I don't think I'll blow the whole life savings before it happens! :)

It was me but AB to Kamloops.

The biggest thing to hit Western Canada since the railroad.

Or even announce them in their throne speech.

They wouldn't even have to announce them in the throne speech. All they would have to say is we've already engaged the provinces who will be consulting with the municipalities & compiling lists shortly.

Just wondering if that "Bitch" is a noun or a verb? :) :)

It is nice that we get more highway. The fed could have been a lot sillier and allocated money for healthcare in BC.
I mean what idiot would allocate money for something which almost everyone uses when there is something more important to spend on that few people use a lot? Especially after Martin is the dyckhead who pulled the rug out from under the provinces' health transfers anyways. Oh, gee. I forgot, the highway is more important to Canada as a whole. My bad.

Well, improved highways should result in fewer injuries which in a sense will take pressure off the health system! I'm not sure how much more money Gov'ts should be throwing at health. I think it's time people started doing things for themselves to reduce health costs. A few years ago my doctor told me if every able bodied Canadian just walked for 45 minutes a day in a few years health costs would be reduced to half of what they were. It would pretty well put an end to type 2 diabetes and a heck of a lot of heart and cancer problems, not to mention improve mental health.

Has he actually changed it to $25B?

Another poster has learned the futility of actually trying to have a conversation with you.

You mean that one that for 50 years only carried grain east? I wonder why the economy in Ontario and such was being restrained as much as it was during that time. Refineries also turn a decent coin and an old quarry is one of the better places to put them. Now they need new pipelines as well as new refineries. Probably get one at a discount right now.
