Let's Bring Back the Old Gods!

I think that there is merit in believing in whatever you’d like to believe in — as far as I am concerned, the power with each and every god or goddess (or God, or the Lord, or whatever or Whomever else) is within their metaphors and the teachings brought forward through Their stories. Does it matter if they’re “real”, if the end-result (i.e., the teaching of morals and the difference between good and evil, and et cetera) was a success? I myself have a rather complicated belief system (with a bit of lore from so many different sources), which is completely and entirely independent of my loyalty to Her Majesty The Queen of Canada, and Her Majesty’s heirs and successors.

My respect for the monarchy is not one of Christian faith, but one of a deep and profound respect for the constitutional relationship between The Sovereign and the Canadian people, and a sincere appreciation for the fantastic work done on a day-to-day basis by The Royal Family of Canada to better the world around them. It has nothing to do with inherited titles, and everything to do with the best possible system to provide peace, order and good government for Canadians.

Is it so difficult to believe that there are those who think that constitutional monarchy is the best system of representative-democratic government?

You understand the pretext of War is a lack of earnest debate, Right?

Let the debate begin, but not in the marketplace, thankyou.

old gods got older
believe in new one-only one, of course , more of them can matter more
don't believe in god of everyone
believe in your god
it is easy to find the god when you start to train brains.

The old gods got stable orbits. Mars Venus Jupiter Saturn Mercury all of them are still our real physical gods.

Time to resurrect the old gods once again. It appears CC is infested with new believers!

Really? Who?

Bringing back the old gods is nothing new. What do you think the occult and new age is all about? The only reason why anyone would even suggest bringing back the old gods is because truly they revel thumbing their nose at the real God. It's an attitude of rebellion and pride.

Ahhh, Alleywayzalwayz
You still have not answered my question. In the religion you profess, what does it teach about a child, say born to Hindu parents, and who dies without becoming a "Christian." Does that child go to "heaven"? Yes or no?

The problem with questions like these, and everyone has them: How can God really send anyone to hell to suffer forever and ever? What type of loving God is that? is that unless you can understand at least the basic characteristics of God, you won't get anywhere close to answering questions like these.

However, your particular question is rather easy to answer,, because God would never send a child to hell. Otherwise, why not send the murdered unborn to hell? There parents were liberal freaks, and they didn't get to live their lives to the fullest. Similar circumstances...

Back to the real questions, how could God send Spade to hell? Even though you've lived a full life, sinned, rebelled, and had your chance to seek redemption, you're still fallible, right? How can a just God do that?

The only way to answer this is to either learn God's character and ask him, or wait until Judgment Day. My preference would be that all you God haters will another chance on that day, but hey, that's only my preference.

A just god would not stifle us with rules and threats of eternal damnation. A just god would encourage his creation to explore the great possibilities of their minds without restrictions. The god of the bible is a despot of human creation and has no validity in the real world. If your god is so insecure that it requires constant praise and adulation, then it is no god at all.

I am glad to see you do not adhere to the tenets of your fundamentalist brethern.

Q2: Do those children go to heaven according to your beliefs?

I have always been of the mind that if you live on a land, you should know what the spirituality that was born out of that land (ie: the native spirituality of whatever tribe occupied the territory you are living in).
no idea what beliefs came out of east Texas other than the worship of redeye gravy

To hell with gods. It's time we started to worship a smokin' hot goddess.

Emerald Tablets Of Thoth, 50,000 Year Old Tablets Reportedly From Atlantis

The Tablets of Thoth are imperishable, resistant to all elements, corrosion and acids. In effect, the atomic and cellular structure is fixed, and no change can take place, thus violating the material law of ionization, according to Bibliotecapleyades.
Upon them are engraved characters in the Ancient Atlantean language; characters which respond to the attuned thought waves of the reader and which release much more wisdom and information than the characters do when merely deciphered. The Tablets are fastened together with hoops of a golden colored alloy suspended from a rod of the same material.
