First of all yes it was an military action against another country and it backfired.
The west too out Saddam and the regions only stable government. No he was
not a nice guy but compared to ISIS and the present government he was the
lesser of evils. This kid was there because his father took him there as a teen.
What gives any soldier a pass from harm in a war zone? Its a firefight, everyone
has weapons, a kid fells threatened and has a grenade. This didn't happen as
part of a bank robbery or gang fight it was in a war zone.
The more I hear about this case the more I question the justification of the action
by our government and the US. I am suspicious of his motives at this point but I
also have decided to give him a chance as our way in western society is also
about redemption.

He got out on bail because the government couldn't prove he was dangerous, which was my point. Whatever nonsense you want to go off on, that's all I said.

Go bleed, I just said he's just out on bail. Period. Nothing more.

He's not 100% free, he can now prove to people that he is a changed man. I hope no innocent Canadians become victims to further crimes committed by Khadr. Period.

Why will the progressives forgive murderers but hate conservatives? Is it because it was not their brother, mother, father, etc that was killed?

Oh and flossie, why did you use a black guy acting like an uneducated idiot to set off the OP?

Not as strangely as yours. If this kid was a criminal for killing a soldier in a war zone then every soldier who kills another or worse, an innocent woman or child or any number of the above, then they must all be criminals. So why are not all those who have killed in wars on trial for murder. Your argument is just plain asinine. Which also explains why so many people, including myself, think conservatives are not too bright, are mean and nasty, self serving pecker heads.

The US and "the coalition of the willing" did invade Iraq, they did murder thousands of innocent "collateral damage" women and children. They did terrorize many more innocents. Those who gave the orders to invade Iraq should be on trial for crimes against humanity. Why are Bush and Cheney still walking free?

He's only out on bail.. don't get excited..

"Khadr will stay with the Edneys as part of his bail conditions.."
Yup until the Edney's can pawn him off . If he doesn't off them first .

In those days 18 was middle age. A child soldier is considered up to 18 years old. But we think that it is OK for our soldiers to invade other countries and kill innocent women and children but how dare one of them brown skin people kill one of ours. Only slightly hypocritical, no?

Not at all . Why could a 15 year old child conquer the world 2500 years or so ago and now a 15 year old does not have control of their actions ? Were you stupid at 15 ?

You are using this silly rant to justify the stupidity of the black idiot in the OP that had zero to do with it, hmm ok.

No, I am pointing out how ludicrous your stand and argument on the issue. Your trying to derail the topic by taking issue with a gif is just as ignorant.

Your hatred knows no bounds, eh Boomer? Maybe you should try to read something else than those teabagger sites.

I actually think that Khadr was a victim of circumstance. His father was a lunatic jihadist, the rest of his family is off the chart anti-west, so what of a kid who gets dragged to another Country under the ideological craziness of these things. Like it or not, Omar Khadr was enlisted into this as a child and his actions were molded by a bunch of crazy people. I don't think he should have been sent to Gitmo, I think an opportunity to undo the damage was missed and now we are worried because he is an adult who might turn back to radical Islam. Shame on us for not getting this kid out of Gitmo earlier and making a real attempt at deprogramming him. I also don't see him as a terrorist. The US soldier killed was in a war zone, in many of these Muslim Countries children are used as fodder by the ignorant and uneducated. Do we arrest every child that is indoctrinated? Lock them up as terrorists.

Time to re-think things I would say.

I don't see Omar Khadr as any real threat.

Gotta say RCS, you are the most level headed conservative on these boards. It's refreshing like finding someone sober in a bar full of drunks. :)
