I'd be willing to pay 15-20 more cents for my coffee at Timmy's, if it would get these franchise owners off the backs of their hard-woorking employees.

Avro, don't be a moon baby.

I say well done to those people who, despite having the government destroy their businesses, are pushing back.

Wynne is a job killer.

avro24,

Are you the fruit who pays $7.00 for a Starbuck's tall grande, with an expresso shot, a twist of lemon in a double cup?

Tim Hortons lashes out at 'rogue' franchisees as employees lose even more perks

Some employees told they get no more free coffee and have to pay for their uniforms

Restaurant Brands International, the multinational fast food giant that owns Tim Hortons, has snapped back at what it calls a "rogue group" of franchise owners.
The company's statement came as more employees at more locations revealed they're losing perks in cuts by owners who blame Ontario's minimum wage hike.
RBI said Friday: "There are several things that make the Tim Hortons brand truly unique, like our connection to our communities and the great relationship our restaurant owners and their team members have with our guests.
"It saddens all of us to see that jeopardized by the recent news stories and comments on social media, caused by the actions of a reckless few."

It is the most strongly worded response from the Tim Hortons corporate parent since news broke that franchisees were cutting employees' paid breaks, benefits and other perks in response to Ontario's minimum wage hike, which rose $2.40 per hour to $14 per hour on Jan. 1.

It's difficult for him to be the bully when he doesn't own or control all the franchises.

Wynne's cheap shot was politically motivated. She tried and failed to deflect the blame about the impact of the wage hike.

It's like every political thing that can be wrong or go wrong is part of Wynne.

I bought Krispy Kremes for the guys in the shop for the days leading up to Christmas. They evaporated in seconds!

There should be some competition but Canadians are fickle.. they only go to major chain places

I've been to a few small shops beat all the franchise joints. Perk's in Campbell River is far superior and so popular they run out of apple fritters by about 11 am. Just can't keep up. Same with the bakery in Qualicum Beach, supplies a few gas stations but can't keep up and can't or won't expand.
