It was evident during the campaign that Trudeau didn't have a clue what is involved in making the 'changes' he promised. He talked as if he was just going to walk into Parliament and wave a magic wand and it would all get done.
Sure, he's going to have a rocky road! Right now he's enjoying his 'rock star' status; everybody fauning ovr his good looks, worshipping at his feet, all good for the ego. But when Parliament convenes he will have the opposition parties hammering him and all kinds of citizens and groups appealing to him to 'do something!'. Most of the 'do somethings' people demand won't be possible, (like the appeal to stop Saudi Arabia from flogging).
Economists say he has already spent his deficit money on the promises he made. What then?
I wonder how his ego will stand up under the pressure?
Well, HE wanted the job! He got it. Now it's time to deliver or pay the consequences.
I think Canadians have sent a boy to do a man's job. Sort of like taking a knife to a gun fight!.

When Obama's Election Team (aka Americans) pushed Trudeau's Election Team (aka Canadians) aside it was all about winning the election. If you have to lie to win... so be it... Just Win Baby.

Right on target. It was Obama's people that won the election for him.

Can't speak for the other but Claude Gravelle was tireless and honest and it's the local guy - unhandcuffed by a control freak leader - who'll work for the riding. I think it has a lot to do with the Reserves vote so I'll congratulate FN for getting out there.

2 Cons went Lib too....

His father was the same . He told us exactly what he was going to do and we cheered and voted for him .
It was great I grossed $5100.00 and netted $2300.00 we loved Pierre . He talked us out of our labour and we loved him .
Good luck if anyone thinks this Liberal government will be different .
We have just gone through a period of 10 years no repatrianting the constitution no Meach Lake no separation .
And most important no apparent tax increases . Yup lets cheer .

It is evident that Canadians can be pretty damned naive. I spoke to a friend of mine in Newfoundland and asked him who he voted for. He took the Danny Williams approach. ANYONE BUT HARPER. Unfortunately, the alternative is no friend to Alberta and whether people in Ontario, Nova Scotia, NF and PEI realize it or not, Alberta exported a lot of dollars to those Provinces in the form of jobs. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

But now that Alberta's economy is in the "tank" a lot of them will be moving back home. I'm sure they'll have lots of good things to say about us too! NOT.

I've spoken to some of them who have lost their jobs and they're pissed at Alberta - as though we have control over oil prices. We may have been the golden goose at one time, but now, under the NDP, we're likely to become a have not unlike Ontario - maybe even worse. Hold on to your hats!

Trudeau ain't gonna have an easy time of it and things won't simply go his way. He's gonna have to learn the hard way by actually having to make hard decisions - oh wait - maybe he won't since deficits don't bother him. Right...sigh. In that case, everything is going to be "hunky dory" don't 'cha know....
