He is much more sane than you are war monger.
Hmmm, a man that disagrees with the Iraq invasion, our present mission in Afghanistan and finds the senseless death of civilians and waste of life, repugnant. Is a war monger to you Abtfet?

No wonder you're so messed up. Up is down, right is wrong and left is right, in your silly version of reality.

Art Bell was more fun.
George is ok too.

I remember the first show I ever heard. Some caller was telling Art that he had a bigfoot trapped in his bomb shelter.

He wanted Art to come see it.

George is a bit more "fun" overall than Art, in my opinion- they have very different styles. The show tends to rebroadcast a lot of "classic" episodes, so there is still plenty of Bell to go around

Yeah that is what Ventura believes, I agree with him.

Ummm, that was in responce to you calling RCs a war monger.

But since your silly mistake makes it clear that you agree with what I said.

I guess you are either a war monger by your own standard. Or you owe RCS an apology. Since those positions you agreed with are his.

You just described Ventura so I got confused. I don't think that fits the description of RCS accurately.

I'm gonna throw ebtfet a bone here and shut Bear up about the Mayans.

First, ES did NOT specify pre-columbian Mayans, he just stated Mayans. Both ebtfet and Bar Sinister are correct in their statements that Mayans, or Maya, still live in Southern Mexico, Central America and Northern South America. The term Maya or Mayan is interchangeable.

Mayan history

These Maya are the direct descendants of the Mayans that were defeated by the Spaniards. To say other wise would be the same as stating that the 6 Nations peoples no longer exist, or the Sioux.

It's already a matter of public record that you're easy to confuse.

I don't think that fits the description of RCS accurately.
Again, the fact that you don't think is a matter of public record.

And what I said is RCS' position.

How's that apology coming?

If you actually paid attention to what RCS posts, you wouldn't be confused and you wouldn't be questioning the accuracy of Bears statements about him.

(indigenous peoples of southeastern Mexico and parts of Central America, such as Guatemala) --- what's difficult to understand about this?

They are not Mayans

does he really? how do you know how much he makes?

You don't think Jesse makes a lot of money for hosting a TV Show? Don't be foolish.

Read my above post and link. You are mistaken.
Gh you know I hate to do this, and you know I hate to sound like dumpy, but...

Maya had a complex society (Classic period 300 - 900 AD)

Growth and Ruin

They didn't fare nearly as well as North American natives.

Nope, they didn't, but the Spaniards did not wipe the people off the face of the planet. They may have decimated their society, but the peoples themselves still remained. My link explains that. If it isn't enough, I do have more links lined up.

They're not the same people, just as I'm not the same as the Iroquois that walk Eastern North America a millennium ago.

The Europeans changed took care of that.

Which is how I took ES' post.

Ok... if we are talking about the decendants of Mayans then ok.

Your link was from a website "Lost Civilization". That is what I meant. The Mayan Civilization is indeed a lost civilization.

Yes, the civilization is gone, but the peoples are still there.
