Oh, don't worry genius, this decision to hobble our economy will change every aspect of our lives. If it's security and sufficiency you're looking for, we just took a big step away from that with this ruling. Bend over, the big fist of change is coming...have fun.

Dec, could The Great Enabler simply declare the pipeline in the National interest and bypass the courts?

Cannot be appealed to the Supreme Court.

BTW the pipeline must be approved based on science - not law or feelings.

Yet 'feelings' are all we get from the left and the activist natives who go against the wishes of many of their own people - that and hyperbole and what-ifs.

No one alive today will see the end of oil being the most important form of energy used by humans.

With the exception of photosynthesis.

The last year of volcanic release has set the carbon nuts back two decades, any gains in carbon capture have been reversed ten thousand times over. Has any of them advanced a method to stop these filthy carbon/ash spewing monsters? Of course not because it can,t be done, it can,t even be mentioned. Thier heads are all in bags, plastic I hope.

Too bad this bought decision can be overruled by the government.
also you seemed to have over looked the fact that all the construction workers and their unions involved are not anxious to loose any pay and may just continue with construction. After all who is going to stop them? And then there will also be lawsuits flying around by everyone with a financial interest including all the bands along the route that were expecting significant financial rewards just for having claimed the land along the route.

But the Bands involved in the lawsuit just got paid by the parties interested in cancelling this Canadian project. Now they are hoping to double dip with a consultation payout ;)

Certainly not before next October. How could he play both sides of the fence if progress on this pipeline moves forward? His main interest is appeasing both sides, always has been. He can tell the pipeline advocates that he's for pipelines and use his apparent support for this project as evidence, but give the anti Pipeline groups hope by making sure any progress is delayed indefinitely. It's only money we stand to lose, and its not HIS money after all..

Yea, because missing out on pipelines for the last 20 years has really hobbled our economy.

Fukking dumbasses.

Enough of this shit already.

BC is going to have a field day with this.

Time to move on to renewables.

Most of the bands involved in the lawsuits are not situated along the route, therefore no money from KM. Neither is the city of Hongcouver.
One of the benefits of this bought court decision is that it gives more push for the Eagle Spirit line. Which being Indian run does not require consultation, environmental studies or permission from the feds.

I agree that's why I said that they just got paid from the special interest group that wants the pipeline stopped, and now they are hoping to double dip with some consultation cash in the new deal

You mean pointing out how you guys liked the feds buying out this project even though you condemn gubmint involvement?

Yea, it was pretty juicy watching you guys give up on the free market you've been proponents of for decades.

Court ruling quashes approval of Trans Mountain

VANCOUVER - The Federal Court of Appeal has quashed the approval of the contentious Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.

Contentious to who? The chronic unemployed by choice? The folks who subsist on the backs of the rest of us? The people who have no inkling on what we will use to drive vehicles and operate equipment? The people who think that electricity just comes out of an outlet in the wall? The people who have no idea that our rivers are dammed to capacity and our habitat for wildlife has been inundated to the limit? In other words ALL THE IDIOTS?

And with Buttsie at the helm of government I doubt that we will see any progress what-so-ever on this, Dec.

Your attitude is the reason there aren't tidewater pipelines.

Dumb conbots.

He's already made more progress than Harper.

Btw, Harper is to blame for this delay.

"You can't make a choice between what's good for the environment and what's good for the economy. We can't shut down the oilsands tomorrow. We need to phase them out. We need to manage the transition off of our dependence on fossil fuels."-Justin Trudeau

Guess this is all part of Trudeau's master plan. Mission accomplished.

Oh Gee- I'm not sure where I was or what I was doing when someone consulted my attitude before deciding not to build a pipeline to tidewater. What was the date when I was that important? I should be submitting a bill! :)
