Yep, its time for the death penalty. Just look at the background of a lot of the serious criminals today. Repeat offenders.
Blame the liberals for this problem.
Yup! Blame everybody but me! If the conservatives are so great why haven't they brought the death penalty back? Politics isn't real! They are there simply as scape goats so we don't have to take responsibility for anything.

Jeez Cliff, I'm beginning to think you should be writing your own book of original quotations and I sincerely mean that! "Politics isn't real" is likely the most succinct and truthful description of that field of endeavour that I've ever heard. :notworthy:

Good on ya', mate!

I don't think many murderers were guilty of murder before.........

Anyway, I part company with the Conservatives on justice policy. I strongly believe that mandatory sentences removes an important element of flexibility in the justice system. I also believe that death sentences arrived at the old way are simply not acceptable..........Marshall, Morin, Milgaard........what more do you need say??????

I think the demand to get "tough on crime" in a society that is amazingly peaceful and secure is ridiculous......simply a conservative slant on the new religion..."we all must be safe".

Bull****.

Life is not safe.

Yes, whenever a government wants a cheap, easy hot button topic, they roll out the 'get tough on crime' stuff...but in reality, Canada is not a crime-ridden society, and, as you said, not that many murderers are serial murderers anyway. On top of that, mandatory sentencing takes away any chance of thinking on the part of the judges. For example, a woman who murders, in cold blood, a guy who raped her 12 year old daughter might not need the death penalty or a life sentence. That's why we have judges who use their understanding to come up with sentences, taking the facts into account.

WARNING LOCK YOUR DOORS!!

Be sure you lock your doors and windows at home! A New Jersey man was found
dead in his home over the weekend. Detectives at the scene found the man
face down in his bathtub. The tub had been filled with milk, sugar, and
cornflakes. A banana was sticking out of his ass.
Police suspect a cereal killer.

Unlike you, I was never in. Come back when you have something useful to say. Don't just be a jerk.
Something useful like how I want to kill people? How about we kill the people who want to kill people and then we'd be just fine then wouldn't we?
Is that useful enough?

Personally, I have a zero tolerance attitude toward murder...one is too many. I don't think we should ever let up on it, nor do I think we should sweep aside any idea that could possibly eliminate it completely.

Crime stats are at an all time low. Crime fear generated by the Cons is merely a distraction while they push through a private for profit prison system where you'll pay out the ass to keep people in longer under new longer sentences.

Boy you people are easy to scam.

Back on topic. I am sorry to but into the middle of your little fun fest boys, but I was wondering if anyone, either than myself, was somewhat startled by the poll numbers?

Of course, politics aren't real, Cliffy. We are all under the 'spell' cast by the government.
